‘Lost 40 cent’: 50 Cent trolled for saying Black men 'identify with Trump’ ahead of 2024 election

WASHINGTON, DC: 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, has been mocked online after he claimed Black men are “identifying with Trump” in the upcoming November 2024 election.

The 48-year-old rapper visited Capitol Hill on Wednesday, June 5, to speak about Black entrepreneurs' representation in the liquor industry, as reported by The Hill.

50 Cent suggests Black men support Trump

During his visit, CBS News correspondent Nikole Killion spoke with him as he asked about the “significance of African American men” in the upcoming presidential race.

The television producer replied, “I see them identifying with Trump,” before he elaborated, “Because they got RICO charges.”

The ‘All Things Fall Apart’ actor did not reveal to whom he would give his vote but in 2020 he supported Trump on his social media page, as reported by PEOPLE.

He wrote, “👀WHAT THE F---! (VOTE For TRUMP) IM OUT, 🏃‍♂️💨 F--- NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I don't care Trump doesn't like black people 62 percent are you out of ya f------ mind.”

Netizens ask 50 Cent to campaign for Trump

Meanwhile, 50 Cent’s recent comment has sparked some attention online with a person on X tweeting, “50 Cent lost 40 cents with that comment and the pics on the hill.”



 

Another user wrote, “Is he saying Black men are criminals?”



 

The third user stated, “50 Cent also said those are the Black ones with RICO charges who identify with Trump.”



 

“The power of the black vote doesn't come from the black man. It's the black woman you should be worried about. They hold the power. You will never get them,” the fourth user commented.



 



 

The fifth one noted, “Obviously, they identify with a rich white criminal.”



 

“About .0000001% of the Black population identifies with Donald Trump,” an individual mentioned.



 

“Bruh, please. He's got that OJ Simpson mentality. All his money does not change how he is viewed by rich white men. THEY do not see him as an equal no matter how much money he has. They will never do anything to help him,” another individual said.



 

A tweet read, “Really how? The fact of being indicted on 34 counts and not having to post bail nor have a mugshot. While a black man arrested for simple possessions has to sit in jail until he comes with the bail money 🙄.”



 

“50 Cent should campaign for Trump if he feels like he identifies with him,” another tweet suggested.
