I am posting tonight based on the ridiculous nature of the headlines I have read the last couple days from an interview on the Andy Cohen show I did this week when…
Beyonce's historic country music moment
Despite the lack of CMA nominations, Beyonce became the first Black woman to top the Billboard Top Country Albums chart with 'Cowboy Carter'.
Additionally, her single 'Texas Hold 'Em' from the same album dominated the Hot Country Songs chart, further establishing her presence in the genre.
However, her exclusion from the 2024 CMA Awards nominations raised questions among fans, particularly given her influence across multiple music genres.

Luke Bryan reflects on the CMA snub
Luke Bryan, a two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year and co-host of the 2024 awards alongside Peyton Manning and Lainey Wilson, offered additional thoughts on Beyonce's exclusion.
"It's a tricky question because, obviously, Beyonce made a country album and she has a lot of fans out there that have her back," Bryan told Cohen.
"And if she doesn't get something they want, man, they come at you," he continued.
While he welcomed the idea of artists from various backgrounds, including Beyonce, embracing country music, he also emphasized that creating a country album alone should not guarantee award recognition.
"I'm all for everybody coming in and making country albums and all that. But just by declaring that, just because she made one. I don’t need [a nomination], just 'cause I make one," he added, according to People.
