Bryan, known for his humorous and down-to-earth personality, didn't stop there. He even gave a shout-out to the plastic surgeons of Los Angeles, adding another layer of comedy to the situation.
His comments brought attention to Ammirati's unexpected rise to fame following his Olympic mishap, which has since been shared and discussed across social media platforms.
Ammirati's journey to the Paris Olympics was one of dedication and hard work. However, his Olympic dreams were cut short during the qualifying round of the pole vault event on August 3.
As Ammirati attempted to clear the crossbar, his crotch got caught, preventing him from successfully completing the jump. Despite his best efforts, Ammirati fell to the ground, ending his hopes of advancing to the event finals.
Reflecting on the incident, Ammirati expressed his disappointment in a statement released by the French Athletics Federation.
"It’s a big disappointment," he said. "The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress. As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to play with the audience. I was almost there."
Anthony Ammirati's Olympics dream shattered but he becomes famous nonetheless
While Anthony Ammirati's Olympic journey ended sooner than he had hoped, his moment of misfortune quickly turned into a viral sensation. Social media users around the world shared videos and memes of the incident, propelling the young athlete into the spotlight.
Ammirati, who has taken the attention in stride, joked about the situation in a TikTok video earlier this month. "POV: You create more buzz for your package than your performances," he said in French, acknowledging the humorous side of his newfound fame.
Despite the viral fame and the unexpected opportunities that followed his Olympic mishap, Ammirati has been candid about his disappointment with his performance in Paris. Speaking to the French Athletics Federation, Ammirati admitted that he had hoped for a better outcome.
"I’m a bit gutted, because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70 m," he explained. "What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session."
Ammirati continued, "I was 100 percent physically, but I was missing a bit of pole vault."
He added that while the conditions were ideal, and he felt no stress, his lack of recent practice may have contributed to his underperformance. "It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress. As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to interact with the audience. I was almost there."
