LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Reporters hounding athletes after their medal wins at the Paris Olympics 2024 with questions about their future plans have left Simone Biles exasperated.

Biles, the most decorated American gymnast to date, clinched her third gold medal in the vault final on Saturday, August 3.

The question Simone Biles feels reporters should 'stop asking'?

Simone Biles, 27, clinched gold in the team finals and all-around events earlier this week, and over the weekend, she added a third gold to her collection with a score of 15.3 for her two vaults, Daily Mail reported.

Following her recent victory, Simone Biles turned to social media to voice her displeasure with the type of questions being asked by reporters in Paris.

She wrote on X, "You guys really gotta stop asking athletes what’s next after they win a medal at the Olympics."

In a follow-up post she wrote, "Let us soak up the moment we’ve worked our whole lives for."

When a fan inquired about her plans following another gold medal win, she responded, "Babysitting the medal".

Simone Biles becomes only the second woman to win two vault titles

Simone Biles secured her seventh Olympic gold medal with a victory in Saturday's vault final. Amid a crowd featuring celebrities like John Travolta, Allyson Felix, Pharrell, and Flavor Flav, along with her teammates and parents, she scored an average of 15.3 on her signature Yurchenko double pike and Cheng vaults.

This triumph earned her a second gold in the event, adding to her win in Rio eight years prior.

Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history, has become only the second woman to win two vault titles, joining Vera Caslavska of Czechoslovakia (1968 and 1984).

The American star has claimed three gold medals in Paris, triumphing in the team finals and the individual all-around.

Her teammate, Jade Carey, won bronze, while Brazil's Rebeca Andrade took silver. Biles has now accumulated 10 Olympic medals, tying for the third-most by a female gymnast.

Additionally, she has increased her total medal count at major international competitions to 40, a record for any gymnast. Biles will have two additional opportunities to add to her medal tally in Paris as she competes in the balance beam and floor exercise finals on Monday, August 5.

Internet reacts to Simone Biles' comment

After Simone Biles' comment appeared on the Daily Mail's platform, some readers were not impressed with her.

A reader wrote, "She's a great athlete but if this not unreasonable question is asked, prepare an answer, don't get grumpy because you don't have an answer."

Another user added, "Unfortunately, as well as she has achieved in her sport, there is something about her that makes her quite easy to dislike!!!"

The third commentator wrote, "Impressive gymnast, but selfish, arrogant, nasty, and folds at the first hint of adversity or criticism."

"Dearest, its a simple & common question. If you've been asked, you've won so many medals, & peers/others look up to you. Nothing wrong with wanting your humble opinion or just say you havent thought that far, blah blah blah. No biggie," one suggested.

A person remarked, "She’s very stroppy, always complaining! Maybe the media should just ignore her & speak to someone else "

Other chimed in, "Yet again ,,, if you say anything to this one she starts claiming some sort of abusive behaviour towards her,, not to be trusted this one,,,"
