NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Lynn Ban, celebrated for her exquisite jewelry designs and role in Netflix's 'Bling Empire: New York', has died weeks after a devastating skiing accident and emergency brain surgery.

Ban’s son, Sebastian, announced the heartbreaking news on Instagram, revealing that she died on Monday, January 20.

In his emotional post accompanied by cherished family photos, Sebastian wrote, "My mum passed away on Monday."

"She was and always will be my best friend, the best mother to me, and someone who cared for all," he said of his 52-year-old mother.

Sebastian described his mother’s unwavering strength and resilience, adding, "She always had a smile on her face even when times were tough during her recovery process."

"She was a fighter until the end and is the strongest woman I know," he added.

Lynn Ban's friends pay tribute to her

Lynn Ban’s close friends took to social media to honor her memory.

Singer and business mogul Rihanna expressed shock and sorrow, writing, "Lynn, you will always be our fairy godmother. Love you forever and always."

Ban’s 'Bling Empire: New York' co-star Dorothy Wang also shared heartfelt words, saying, "Your mom lit up every time she spoke of you. She was a true badass yet the kindest ray of light. We are all heartbroken."

Lynn Ban’s life took a tragic turn on Christmas Eve 2024 while skiing with her family in Aspen, according to People.

Despite wearing a helmet, a seemingly minor ski accident resulted in a severe brain injury.

Initially cleared by ski patrol for a concussion, Ban’s decision to seek further medical attention likely saved her life.

A CT scan revealed a brain bleed, prompting her emergency airlift to a trauma hospital and a life-saving craniotomy.

She is survived by her husband, Jett, and their son, Sebastian, who vowed to honor her memory.

"Although she may be gone now, I will do everything I can to make sure she is never forgotten and for her life to be celebrated as it deserves to be," wrote Sebastian.
