Madonna roasted for hypocrisy after she slams Trump’s ‘King’ post: ‘You call yourself queen all the time’

NEW YORK, NEW YORK: Madonna is not letting it slide as the White House crowned President Donald Trump the “King".
The official social media account of the White House shared a post on Wednesday, February 19, with an altered TIME Magazine cover where ‘TRUMP’ was written in place of the publication’s title, along with the caption, “Long live the King”, per Billboard.
"CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD. Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED. LONG LIVE THE KING!"

However, the post didn't go down well with the 66-year-old ‘Material Girl’ singer. She took to her social media to vent out how terming Trump as a monarch goes against the very founding principles of the United States of America.
Madonna castigates White House’s ‘King’ post
The White House shared a post on its official social media handle on Wednesday, depicting Donald Trump as a monarch with a crown on the head.
While the title space of the picture has Trump’s name written in all-caps, the text reads, “Long live the King.”
They shared the image with a caption, writing, “CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD. Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED. LONG LIVE THE KING.”

Europeans, escaping living under the rule of a King, to establish a New World governed by the people.
Currently we have a president who calls Himself.

The post came just after the 78-year-old president’s administration ordered New York to end congestion pricing.
While the post managed to draw a flurry of reactions on social media, Madonna’s fiery reaction stood out. The Grammy winner took to her social media to highlight that the creation of America was solely motivated by the intention of the Founding Fathers to break away from the shackles of monarchy and establish a democracy.
Sharing a photo of herself, the ‘Popular’ singer wrote on Thursday, February 20, “I thought this country was built by Europeans, escaping living under the rule of a King, to establish a New World governed by the people.”

Calling out the GOP spearhead, she continued, “Currently, we have a president who calls himself our King. If this is a joke, I’m not laughing.”
However, as soon as she made the post, several detractors flocked to the comment section to remind her that it was simply a harmless joke, and highlighted her hypocrisy of criticizing the post while she herself gets called the 'Queen of Pop'.

Internet points out Madonna calls herself 'queen'
Madonna's fiery response to the White House's 'King' post for Donald Trump did not sit well with some social media users who took it upon themselves to point out the Queen of Pop's "irony".
One user said, "You literally call yourself “the Queen” ALL. THE. TIME. Now suddenly it’s not funny to say that???"

"So Madonna, is it worse for a President to troll his haters and call himself a KING? Or for a has been singer who butchered herself with plastic surgery saying she wants to blow up with White House?" asked another disgruntled user.
