This came on the heels of exclusive images published by Daily Mail which captured Anderson and Trump on a date night at the upscale restaurant Buccan in Palm Beach.
Shortly after, the couple was spotted at Mar-a-Lago where they “paraded their love for all to see.”
The whirlwind romance escalated quickly, with the pair jetting off to Europe for a romantic getaway just days later. However, Anderson's past social media activity hinted at views that didn’t entirely align with the MAGA platform.

Posts from 2020 showed Bettina Anderson wearing a face mask during the Covid-19 pandemic, advocating for virus prevention with the caption, “Only you can stop the spread of ignorance.”
In the same year, she shared a blacked-out screen in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, a stance historically at odds with Trump supporters who oppose the movement's call for police abolition.
In addition, Anderson's Instagram bio humorously declared her as a “stay-at-home mom” who doesn’t have children, a husband, or household chores.
She once posted on Facebook, “Everyday is independence day when you don’t have children.” In 2021, she shared an image of a baby carriage filled with shopping bags, further poking fun at her child-free lifestyle.
These sentiments clashed with Republican narratives emphasizing traditional family values and triggered criticism earlier this year when JD Vance denounced "childless cat ladies" as detrimental to society.
A source within Trump’s inner circle expressed skepticism about Anderson’s place in their world saying, “We can’t afford to have any headaches or liabilities trying to grift their way to more Instagram followers. Especially ones who aren’t MAGA to begin with.”

Despite the controversy, Bettina Anderson appeared to have been ingrained in Donald Trump’s family dynamic for months.

Additionally, she maintained friendship with Vanessa Trump, Don Jr’s ex-wife and was even present at family gatherings.
Anderson’s connection with the Trump children also extended to social media.
In August, Don Jr's 17-year-old daughter, Kai Trump, posted a TikTok video announcing her verbal commitment to play golf at the University of Miami.
Anderson appeared in the clip alongside the teenagers, dancing to the song 'It’s All About the U' by Uncle Luke.
While Don Jr and Guilfoyle seemed to maintain public appearances until recently, their relationship was reportedly over before the images of Don Jr and Anderson emerged.
On the same day those photos were published, Trump announced his plans to appoint Guilfoyle as ambassador to Greece in his second administration.
