Mandy Moore's homely tradition of festive dinner for breakfast

Amid laughter and shared parenting anecdotes, Moore detailed their unique Christmas tradition of having breakfast for dinner on Christmas Eve.

"Pancakes, waffles, bagels, eggs, bacon... the whole nine yards," she described with a smile, planning to incorporate this cherished ritual into their new home's festivities.

Mandy Moore's parenting playlist and voicemail legacy as Rapunzel

As the conversation flowed into music and parenting, Moore revealed her husband's curated playlists for their children. She gleefully mentioned her son Gus' eclectic taste in music, favoring tunes like Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" over more traditional children's songs like "Baby Shark."

The topic steered toward Moore's iconic role as Rapunzel in 'Tangled.' Amusingly, despite being the voice of the character, Rapunzel remained completely in character, not acknowledging Moore's identity as the voice artist behind her.

Reflecting on her son's reaction to her being the voice of Rapunzel, Moore humorously revealed Gus' indifference, stating, "He's not Lightning McQueen. There's no 'Cars' situation."

She amusingly recounted attempts to pique his interest in watching 'Tangled' after having seen 'Frozen,' yet Gus remained disinterested, showing no inclination toward Rapunzel or the movie.

Transitioning to her experiences recording voicemails as Rapunzel for children, Moore expressed her willingness to help parents by leaving encouraging messages for kids, like reminding them to brush their teeth before bed—an endearing and supportive gesture appreciated by many families.

"When the movie came out like -- oh, my gosh over 10 years ago, I left a lot of voicemails for children, like, parents imploring me like, "Can you tell my daughter that Rapunzel loves to brush her teeth and always brushes her teeth every night before she goes to bed?" So I left a lot of those helping parents out."
