LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Mariah Carey disclosed why she does not believe in birthdays during an interview with the UK radio station Capital FM, as reported by People.
During the Monday, June 16, chat, the co-hosts Sian Welby, Jordan North, and Chris Stark asked the 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' singer a variety of questions regarding her likes, dislikes, and support or opposition of things.
Mariah Carey claims she doesn’t ‘believe’ in the concept time
When Jordan North asked Mariah Carey, “Is it true you don't acknowledge the passing of time?” she immediately replied, “That is true.”
Then Welby asked for an explanation, to which the singer simply said, “I just don't believe in it.”

But Stark was not convinced yet as he pressed if the 56-year-old was talking about time zones, but Carey added, “No, just time.”
Welby then went on to question if the "Songbird Supreme" uses “no clock”.
“Yeah. No, just let it go,” Carey mentioned.
Mariah Carey doesn't celebrate her birthday
Curiously, Sian Welby then asked, “Do you celebrate your birthday?”
The songwriter responded by saying, “I don't have a birthday, no. Anniversaries, yes.”
Stark was stunned by Carey’s answers, as he asked, “But if we were to meet up later, how would we know when?” However, North answered on her behalf, “It’s on Mariah’s time.”
Carey also shared, “Yeah, I would have someone call you and figure it out.”

“Please put an LOL next to this, because people are going to be, like, WTF?” she had added.

The 'It's a Wrap' crooner once told People, “I think I have to remain eternally oblivious to age. Honestly, when you put a number on it yourself, it’s just like, Why? Why do that?”
Also, in her August/September 2016 cover story for Complex, she reportedly mentioned, “I don’t have a birthday. I was just dropped here. It was a fairyland experience.”
