Mariah Carey disappoints fans with her singing

As the video of the ‘All I Want For Christmas is You’ singer went viral on social media, fans noticed that the Grammy winner was struggling to reach her high note while trying to sing the ‘It’s Time’, according to Daily Mail

Mariah Carey performed back-to-back songs from her 1994 album ‘Merry Christmas’ which has been a staple during the holidays for the last three decades. However, she struggled to hit the high note at ‘It’s Time’, disheartening some of her fans, with some social media users even claiming she should retire.

In the clip, the singer’s expression is also captured when she makes a dissatisfied face after the blip, before composing her countenance and continuing with the rest of the performance.

The recent gaffe happened just a few days after the songstress sparked romance rumors with musician Anderson .Paak, 38, when they were spotted holding hands in Aspen, Colorado.

The pair was also seen spending cozy time together when they were holding hands while entering Catch Steak restaurant in Aspen, Colorado, on Sunday evening, December 22.

Mariah Carey's fans left divided over her voice

Mariah Carey's recent performance divided the internet as some fans complained about not being able to hear her iconic 'It's Time' in the beginning of her performance. Neverthelss, some fans did defend her, saying, she was probably suffering from "sore throat."

One of the social media users took to Instagram to ask, "Is the note in the room with us."

Another user complained of not being able to understand the note explaining, "Bc I listened a few times and turned the volume way up and nothing."

Meanwhile, a fan shared, "I thought my headphone disconnected. No disrespect she’s still a legend tho."

Everyone was, however, not empathetic, as another social media user noted, "She was fighting that note for her life."

"She was fighting to hit that note," wrote another displeased listener.

Someone else dissed, "The SHEIN version of the actual note."

However, one fan put forward the theory that her voice broke due to sore throat, saying, "It's giving sore throat realness."

Social media users took to TikTok as well to put forward their opinion, with one saying, "Different key baby."

Someone else went a step forward and suggested, "Time to retire."

Another user said, "I didn’t even hear the 'It’s Time'." A fan responded saying, "I can actually hear it tho."

"I mean it didn’t sound that well sounded a little squeaky," shared someone else.

Another fan chimed in, "Cuz she is 55 now voice can't stay still."

"I was at this show," shared another user, before noting, "Despite her aged voice it was a well put together performance & she did a great job."

"It's perfect. it's just impossible for us human to hear and the phone, the sound barrier, that's why it's like it's breaking her voice but in reality it's perfect like it was before," gushed another fan of Mariah Carey.

Someone else explained, "I don’t think people understand that she’s on a tour singing the same songs. No offense but a lot of singers now adays can’t even do that. Mariah Carey songs are not easy. Guiness world record book."
