WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden, currently isolating at his Delaware home after contracting COVID-19, has become the subject of a slew of right-wing conspiracy theories.

Diagnosed with COVID on Wednesday, July 17, Biden received his tenth dose of the antiviral Paxlovid, as recently reported by his doctor Kevin O'Connor.

Despite having nearly no COVID-19 symptoms and continuing to perform all his duties, his lack of recent public appearances has fueled speculation among right-wing circles about his well-being, according to The Raw Story.

Right-wing figures push unfounded claims about Joe Biden's health

According to Dr O'Connor's report, President Joe Biden's vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, and body temperature, stayed within normal ranges.

NBC reported that Biden called into his campaign staff on Monday, July 22, following his decision to drop out of the presidential race.

Nevertheless, some Republicans and right-wing pundits, including Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, have taken to social media to voice their baseless claims regarding Biden's whereabouts.

Greene wrote on X, "In October of 2020, President Trump had Covid and the WH released a photo of him working in the Walter Reed hospital conference room. Joe Biden has Covid, is forced to drop out of the race by letter, but no one has seen him. Where is Joe Biden? What are they hiding?"

Similarly, Colorado's Lauren Boebert demanded Democrats provide "proof of life" for Biden. Boebert wrote on X, "He needs to get in front of some camera and discuss if he’s aware that he dropped out. Hiding is completely unacceptable."

By Monday evening, 'Where is Joe Biden' was trending on X with nearly 100,000 posts as the conspiracies gained traction. Conservative journalist Kyle Becker contributed to the speculation, noting on X that Biden had not been seen since July 17.

Becker’s post read, "That's when he was 'diagnosed with Covid' and was told to self-isolate in Delaware for a week. It was also days after the Trump shooting. America demands to know: WHERE IS JOE?"

Adding to the frenzy, the far-right X account Libs of TikTok, which boasts over 3 million followers, shared a fake missing person poster of Biden with a reward of "choco chocho chip ice cream."

There is no evidence suggesting Biden is suffering from any more serious health issues. Speculation about such an illness could potentially lead to significant national security concerns and questions about his ability to continue as president ahead of the November election.

Journalist Glenn Greenwald, known for his anti-Biden stance, also chimed in on social media, criticizing the President’s absence from the public eye. Greenwald wrote, "I don't endorse Biden conspiracies, but still: It's strange and wrong that Biden hasn't spoken given the historic magnitude of his announcement."
