ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene posted on social media platform X on Tuesday, July 23, and claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris, who is now the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, is a 'DEI hire', as per Raw Story

Notably, the acronym 'DEI', which stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion, is frequently the subject of business and governmental initiatives. However, it has also come to be seen as a racist slur on the right and an aberration.

Marjorie Taylor Greene calls Vice President Kamala Harris 'DEI hire'

She wrote on X, "Joe Biden admits Kamala Harris is a DEI hire. 'Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are the core strengths of America…I'm proud to have the most diverse administration in history…it starts at the top with the Vice President."

Notably, Greene's vehement anti-LGBTQ remarks and her prior acceptance of QAnon conspiracy theories have drawn criticism on several occasions.

Greene's post was quickly overshadowed by vehement reactions to her statements, which came amid reports that House GOP leadership is quietly pleading with members not to make racially offensive remarks about Harris.

Earlier, MTG also faced criticism when she demanded the resignation of Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle following the July 13 assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump.

She wrote on X, "I’ve never seen a more incompetent woman in my life. Cheatle should have resigned. Instead, she’s covering it all up, refusing to answer questions and hand over information. She may be more than incompetent. She may be complicit."

Internet roasts Marjorie Taylor Greene

Many internet users grilled Greene for her social media post where she claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris, who is also now the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, is a 'DEI hire.'

A user posted on X, "Oh, shut up and sit down. You're a racist" while one added, "Says the one who had to quit because of DEI".

A person also stated, "Nice Joke," whereas one mentioned, "Lol. the transparency here is hilarious honestly. They think they’re being clever."

Some online comments read "Poor Crazy Marjie, so jealous, she knows she'll never get into law school, never graduate, never be DA, never be AG, never be President," and "These racist haters would love to say the N word but since they can't they scream DEI. Without DEI this idiot wouldn't even be in congress."

A user also stated, "Only a Republican would take that quote from Biden and think it makes HIM look bad," whereas one commented, "MTG is a product of DEI due to her having disabilities."
