Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed for seeking Fani Willis' resignation over 'affair' with Trump prosecutor
WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene is insisting that Fulton County DA Fani Willis resign in light of her romantic involvement with a special prosecutor hired to investigate Donald Trump's alleged election interference in Georgia.
The Georgia Congresswoman made the demand during an exclusive phone interview with far-right news website Breitbart News.
"Absolutely, she should step down," Greene told the portal. "She should be absolutely ashamed of herself."

On Friday, February 2, Willis admitted that she and special prosecutor Nathan Wade got involved in a "personal relationship" in 2022.
Former President Donald Trump also responded to the revelation through a Truth Social post claiming the case against him was a scam that was "TOTALLY DISCREDITED & OVER."
Marjorie Taylor Greene suggests criminal investigation against Fani Willis
The Republican lawmaker expressed her wish for a criminal investigation against the Fulton County DA.
"There's so much evidence coming out. I would love to see a criminal investigation. That's what should be happening here, in the state of Georgia, against Fani Willis," she said.
"That's why I called for Gov Kemp and Attorney General Chris Carr to launch a criminal investigation."
However, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp refused the lawmaker's demand citing that the probe should first move through a House Committee.
“You had Nathan Wade having sex with Willis to get a contract with the Fulton County and be hired as a prosecutor, so he never registered as a lobbyist. He never filed any of that paperwork,” she said.
"I filed an ethics violation against him because Willis admitted that they have a relationship that should move the investigation against Nathan Wade to a different level."
Greene asserted that Willis, who is up for re-election in 2024 amid corruption allegations, will likely face a loss similar to former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, who lost her re-election bid in 2022.
