WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump weighed in on Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' acknowledgment of a "personal relationship" with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, whom she hired to investigate the ex-president's election interference case in Georgia, as per The Hill.

Trump expressed his views on the matter through a Truth Social post on Friday, February 2, stating, "THIS SCAM IS TOTALLY DISCREDITED & OVER!"

The Republican frontrunner was indicted for his alleged attempts to overturn 2020 presidential election results in Georgia to prevent Joe Biden's victory.

On February 2, Willis admitted in a court filing that she and Wade became involved in 2022. The DA hired him in November 2021 to lead the prosecution against the former President.

Trump railed against Willis on Truth Social, accusing her of providing financial gains to the special prosecutor.

The White House hopeful wrote, "Fani Willis, the D.A. of Fulton County, just admitted to having a sexual relationship with the Prosecutor she, in consultation with the White House and DOJ, appointed to 'GET PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.'"

He added, "By going after the most high level person, and the Republican Nominee, she was able to get her 'lover' much more money, almost a Million Dollars, than she would be able to get for the prosecution of any other person or individual. THAT MEANS THAT THIS SCAM IS TOTALLY DISCREDITED & OVER."

Micheal Roman, a co-defendant of Trump who first accused the Fulton County DA of a romantic affair with Wade, had claimed that the relationship made the indictment "fatally defective." He also demanded that both of them should be blocked from the investigation.

The revelation of a personal relationship adds a new dimension to ex-POTUS' ongoing legal struggles, which involve three additional indictments related to alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election results, hush money payments to adult actress Stormy Daniels, and mishandling of classified documents.
