WASHINGTON, DC: The guilty verdict against former President Donald Trump in the New York hush money trial sent shockwaves through the political world, igniting a firestorm of outrage from his staunch supporters.

At the center of this firestorm remains Marjorie Taylor Greene, who unleashed a blistering attack on her fellow Republicans for their perceived inaction and weakness in the face of what she deemed an unjust prosecution, as per Mediaite.

After the jury delivered the guilty verdict on Thursday, May 30, Julie Kelly, a self-described "J6 conspiracy theorist," voiced her discontent on social media.

She tweeted, "Republicans stood silent for 3 years as Biden’s DOJ/FBI investigated, raided, charged, prosecuted and incarcerated 1,400+ Trump supporters for Jan 6. They not only tacitly endorsed it but funded it."

Kelly further contended, "Of course this unprecedented conviction of Donald Trump would be the natural result. Today’s verdict is as much an indictment of GOP weakness and cowardice as it is the lawless Marxist tendencies of the Democrats."

Greene echoed Kelly’s sentiments, remarking, "I agree with every single word here. Republicans have done NOTHING to stop the Democrats from destroying our justice system and our freedoms."

She further lamented, "Many Republicans would just quote the constitution as they are marched to the firing squad. When good men do nothing, evil prevails."

The trial, which spanned six weeks, resulted in a unanimous guilty verdict from all twelve jurors. Trump was found guilty of falsifying business records to conceal a 2016 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels. The court proceedings featured testimonies from 22 witnesses, including Daniels.

Following the verdict, Trump went on a rant, claiming, "This was a disgrace, this was a rigged trial… Our whole country is being rigged right now. This is being done by the Biden Administration in order to hurt or wound a political opponent."

While Trump could theoretically face prison time, a financial penalty is considered the more likely outcome.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's fiery message to Republicans sparks mockery online

The internet was quick to mock Greene's fiery message to Republicans. One user on X commented, "These MAGA idiots have lost their minds." Another remarked, "All you have are conspiracy theories and lies."

A third user wrote, "Evil prevails. Wasn't evil at all when they murdered a Capitol police officer and threatened multiple congressmen though. She lives in bizarro world." A fourth added, "Says the person that was on vacation instead of standing with Trump."

A fifth user stated, "Because that would be obstruction of justice, Marje." A sixth pointed out, "You want a country where people like you are never held responsible for their actions. Guess what? This is a democracy and we all have a voice."

The criticism continued with a seventh user saying, "Your words carry no weight... You only speak for your leader anyway!" An eighth noted, "And when good men VOTE for nothing, evil gets sent to Congress."
