LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Martha Stewart, 83, the lifestyle mogul known for her bestselling books on cooking and home living, appeared to take a subtle jab at Barbra Streisand, 82, during an interview with Pamela Anderson for Elle magazine in which 'The Last Showgirl' star opened up about her career renaissance at 57.

Their conversation also revealed that Stewart is currently working on her highly anticipated autobiography, which will provide an in-depth look into her life and the remarkable experiences she has had along the way.

Just before wrapping up their Zoom call, Martha Stewart shared with Pamela Anderson, "I’m writing an autobiography right now. Wait until you do that!"

The 'Baywatch' star responded, "I did write my memoir!" to which Stewart playfully replied, "But you’re only 57, so it’s not your memoir. It’s a diary of your life up until now. You’re gonna have so much more to write about! I’ve waited completely."

The conversation took a lighthearted turn when Stewart made a subtle jab at Barbra Streisand, saying with a laugh, "Boy, I’m having fun. I’m not going to let anything not be said. I want to tell it all. It’s a huge challenge to do that and not be Barbra Streisand with 900 pages. I don’t want it to be long and boring."

Laughing further, she added, "I’ve just ambled along and found my way. One of my mottos is, 'When you’re through changing, you’re through.' So it’s extremely important for me to keep change happening. The next [magazine] cover will be in a bikini!"

Anderson then shared, "I do have a few short stories that I’m working on…I don’t know what they’ll become. They might become short films. There are a lot of people talking to me about a lot of different things right now, which is really exciting, but I have no shortage of ideas."

"Everyone has their own way, and I feel like I’ve taken a very unorthodox route to get to this point, and it was just my way," she noted.

Gushing over Stewart, the 'Barb Wire' star added, "Martha, you’re a pioneer. There was no other way but yours. And I think that’s a really exciting, romantic way to live. Living a mystery and being okay with that, that’s kind of where I’m at these days."

Did Barbra Streisand's memoir's length of more than 900 pages deter readers?

The answer is a definite no, as the length of Barbra Streisand’s memoir didn’t stop her fans from snapping up nearly three million copies of 'My Name Is Barbra' in its first week, according to Daily Mail.

Released on November 7, 2023, the memoir spans 970 pages, while the audiobook, narrated by Streisand herself, runs over 48 hours.

The playful remark from Stewart came shortly after she expressed her dissatisfaction with the final edit of her Netflix documentary, 'Martha', which premiered on October 30, 2024.

In an interview with The New York Times, the 83-year-old said, "I love the first half of the documentary. It gets into things that many people don’t know anything about, which is what I like about it."

However, she criticized the second half, calling it "lazy." She specifically disliked the final scenes, sharing, "Those last scenes with me looking like a lonely old lady walking hunched over in the garden? Boy, I told him to get rid of those. And he refused. I hate those last scenes. Hate them."
