Kathy added, "Martha was picking up on everything and getting more and more upset. She would be frantic. Migraines and sleeplessness. At one point she showed me where she tore her hair out of her own head. She was mean to her staff."

Martha shared some letters that chronicle the dissolution of their relationship with intensity. One of the letters read, "Again, I feel betrayed and all alone. When you tell me that this is no longer your home, after all we did here together, why shouldn’t I say I’m going to burn it down? I am to go to San Francisco to talk about weddings and my wonderful life. I hope you’re enjoying your freedom, and I hope my plane crashes."

Martha Stewart also revealed in the 'Martha' trailer that she had cheated on her ex-husband during their almost three-decade marriage.

She said in the trailer, "Young women, listen to my advice, if you’re married and your husband starts to cheat on you, he’s a piece of s**t. Get out of that marriage."

A producer asked her, "Didn’t you have an affair early on?" To which, she replied, "Yeah, but I don’t think Andy ever knew about that."

During an intimate interview with director RJ Cutler, Martha also talked about the time she kissed a stranger in a cathedral during her honeymoon in Italy.

Martha recalled, "He didn't know I was married. I was this waif of a girl hanging out in the cathedral on Easter Eve. He was emotional. I was emotional. It’s just because it was an emotional place."

Martha shared a kiss with the stranger in the unexpected setting. It is an act she fondly remembers for its spontaneity. She added, "It was like nothing I had ever done before. And so why not kiss a stranger?"
