Matthew Perry's death: 'Ransacked' crime scene eyewitness suspects someone tried to cover up evidence
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Matthew Perry's Pacific Palisades home became the center of a tragic scene on October 28, 2023, when the beloved 'Friends' actor was found dead.
The 54-year-old actor overdosed on ketamine, leading to his death. He was discovered floating face down in his hot tub.
Now sources have revealed that his room was in a very bad condition and that there were efforts to cover up the crime scene before a call to 911 was made.
Matthew Perry's master bedroom was a 'disaster', says source
When investigators arrived at Matthew Perry’s home and analyzed the crime scene, they found his master bedroom suite in a state of disarray, hinting at a possible struggle or frantic behavior in his final days.
A source, who reviewed the crime scene photos, said Perry’s master bedroom was in complete chaos.
“It was a disaster,” the source told the New York Post.
“The master suite looked like someone was in the middle of a long bender. Clothes everywhere, towels on the floor, just dirty,” the source added.
However, the source noted that the rest of the house was in stark contrast to the condition of the master suite.
“But the rest of the house was clean, really neat,” the legal source continued. “Like maybe the cleaning lady wasn’t allowed in those bedrooms.”
Five arrested in connection to Matthew Perry’s death, including his assistant Kenneth Iwamasa
Authorities have arrested five individuals linked to Matthew Perry’s death, including his longtime assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa.
Iwamasa is accused of administering 27 shots of ketamine to Perry over the five days leading up to his death. The final three shots allegedly resulted in the actor's demise and severe bodily injury as per the publication.
On August 7, Iwamasa pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death.
Court documents revealed that Iwamasa sourced the ketamine from multiple channels, spending more than $55,000 on the drug in the month leading up to Perry’s death.
The other individuals who have been charged include “ketamine queen” Jasveen Sangha, Dr Salvador Plasencia, Dr Mark Chavez, and drug broker Erik Fleming.
Plasencia is the one who had reportedly sent a text calling Perry a moron, saying, "I wonder how much this moron will pay [for the ketamine]."
Fleming and Chavez, have also pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiracy to distribute ketamine.
Plasencia and Jasveen Sangha have both pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
Investigation reveals efforts to cover up scene after Matthew Perry's death
Law enforcement thoroughly reviewed the surveillance footage from Matthew Perry's home, including a ring cam footage from the front door.
Other than Iwamasa, none of the other defendants were spotted at the late actor's residence.
A criminal complaint filed by federal authorities alleged that Iwamasa took steps to cover up the scene before contacting emergency services.
He is accused of disposing of syringes, drugs, and other paraphernalia before making the 911 call. Perry's assistant allegedly contacted Sangha during this time to seek guidance on how to remove the drugs.
“It looks like the bedroom and bathroom had been ransacked,” the source further divulged to the publication.
“It’s clear from just seeing the scene that something very bad had happened — and someone tried to cover it up," the source added.
