Matthew Perry’s ‘Friends’ co-stars did not visit his grave on death anniversary despite public tributes
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Matthew Perry’s gravesite did not have a single visitor from his ‘Friends’ castmates on the occasion of the first death anniversary of the star.
The beloved actor was found unresponsive in his Pacific Palisades home on October 28, 2023, before he was announced dead by the paramedics. A later autopsy revealed the ‘17 Again’ star - who struggled with addiction for many years of his life - died due to the “acute effects of ketamine.”
After Perry’s death, the actor’s ‘Friends’ castmates - including Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow - mourned the tragedy.
However, as per Radar Online, one year down the line, the fervor of their grief has reportedly lessened as none of them paid a visit to Perry’s gravesite on his death anniversary.
Matthew Perry has ‘already been forgotten’
An onlooker dished the grim reality of the ‘Fools Rush In’ actor’s death anniversary, as they said it looked like he “had already been forgotten.”
The outlet reported that while his gravesite was visited by 30 of his heartbroken fans, none of his costars - who also profess to be his real-life friends - paid a visit to his grave.
One of the onlookers shared with Radar Online, "It was depressing," before adding, "It was as if Matthew had already been forgotten – only a year after he left us."
Another Hollywood insider criticized the lack of any memorial by his friends, saying, "You would have thought that the guys who worked with him and claimed to be one of the tightest casts in the history of television could have done something together to remember their fallen friend.”
They asked, "How hard would it have been for them to organize a memorial?”
"A couple of pictures online seems a meager effort and may be a window on how close they really were,” criticized the insider about the stars’ method of paying respect.
Out of the five remaining ‘Friends’ cast members, only Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox marked Perry’s death anniversary.

Soon after, Cox too posted a tribute by posting a pair of throwback pictures, writing, "Missing you today and always ❤️"

Jennifer Aniston mourning Matthew Perry ‘all over again’
The news of Matthew Perry's costars not visiting his grave on the death anniversary came just a week after an insider revealed to In Touch Weekly that Jennifer Aniston was mourning her friend "all over again" as the holiday season approaches.
As December approaches, the source shared, “Jen’s always cherished the holidays” as it is “a special time for her … they’re also a time when she tends to get extra sentimental.”
The source revealed that for the last 30 years, since the show went on air in 1994, “connecting with Matthew was always a part of her holiday tradition."
"They didn’t advertise it,” revealed the source, and noted, “But he’d come by quietly, or she’d go see him.”
They further noted that if the duo could not meet in person, they would arrange to have a phone call to catch up. The insider shared, “They’d usually get on the phone and have a good long catch up,” before noting, “She could always count on getting a goofy holiday card from him.”
“He was just always there, in some way,” noted the source, before adding, “and she looked forward to that.”
