Mauricio Umansky set to undergo surgery after Aspen ski accident amid personal turmoil
ASPEN, COLORADO: Mauricio Umansky recently experienced a significant skiing accident in Aspen, Colorado, and the incident left him with a broken clavicle.
The 54-year-old real estate broker, known for his appearances on 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' sought immediate medical attention and is set to undergo surgery.

Mauricio Umansky took to Instagram to share his ordeal with his followers, posting images of his injury, X-ray scans, and a video of the Search and Rescue operation that brought him to safety.
The images revealed a clean break in his right clavicle and the video showed him being transported on a rescue tarp sled through the snow.
Despite the severity of the situation, Umansky appeared composed and grateful.
“I feel so blessed to be taken care of by such amazing humans. Ski patrol, paramedics, Aspen Hospital—you’re all the best,” he wrote in one of his Instagram stories.
Alongside an X-ray image of his injury, he added, “Broken clavicle. Let’s get this surgery done so I can heal. Play hard, sometimes you get hurt, but the care here has been incredible.”
A tumultuous time for Mauricio Umansky
The timing of the accident adds another layer of complexity to Mauricio Umansky's life as he is already grappling with personal challenges.
In July 2023, Umansky and his wife of 27 years, Kyle Richards, announced their separation.
Although they have yet to file for divorce, the couple has been openly discussing the future of their relationship and shared property.
During a recent episode of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show', Richards disclosed that the couple is considering selling their family home.
“We still have not filed for divorce or anything, but we have had more conversations about what we should do—whether I should still live where I’m living, whether we should sell the house and each buy new homes, or if we should keep the house because it’s such a special property,” she shared.
Umansky and Richards, who tied the knot in January 1996, share three daughters, Alexia, 28, Sophia, 25, and Portia, 16.
