Mayim Bialik opens up about ‘processing trauma’ on her podcast after getting fired from 'Jeopardy!'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mayim Bialik said that her sudden departure from 'Jeopardy!' has left her feeling mentally overwhelmed, reported The U.S. Sun.
The actress of 'Big Bang Theory' fame had revealed earlier in December that she was being let go from the game show after being brought on as a permanent host just a year ago, along with Ken Jennings.
The pair had been alternatingly performing hosting duties since July 2022, following the death of longtime host, Alex Trebek, a couple of years ago. Jenning is now the sole host of the show.
What did Mayim Bialik share on her podcast?
In a recent episode of 'Bialik Breakdown', the 48-year-old actress delved into topics such as trauma and therapy.
A clip from the episode uploaded on Instagram showed Bialik sharing a symbolic perspective on how to manage feeling overwhelmed.
Asking the questions, "Can therapy actually make you worse off? And what’s the point of revisiting trauma?" in the caption, Bialik is seen in the clip saying, "If a glass is already full, one extra drop will spill it over."
"The idea with meditation, the idea with therapy, the idea with processing trauma is that it lowers the water in the glass. So it takes more drops to get it to spill over," she goes on to explain.

According to The Sun, this is the first Instagram clip in which the actress has allowed comments since her post announcing her departure from the game show.
How did Mayim Balik announce her departure from 'Jeopardy!'?
On December 15, Bialik took to Instagram to write, "As the Holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some Jeopardy! news. Sony has informed me that I will no longer be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy!."
"I am incredibly honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for hosting this year and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the Jeopardy! family," she continued.
"For all of you who have supported me through this journey and to the fans, contestants, writers, staff of America's favorite quiz show, thank you."

The game show confirmed the news soon after, releasing a post on social media stating, "Mayim Bialik has announced she will no longer be hosting the syndicated (or nightly) version of Jeopardy!. We have made the decision to have one host for the syndicated show next season to maintain continuity for our viewers. And Ken Jennings will be the sole host for syndicated Jeopardy!."
"We are truly grateful for all of Mayim's contributions to Jeopardy!, and we hope to work with her in the future on primetime specials," the statement further read.
