In her latest romantic comedy, where she portrayed a character named Willa, Ryan experienced a setback as the film failed to make a mark at the box office. The insider claims that this professional setback has left Ryan in need of "serious TLC" and contemplating a potential exit from showbiz.

Report suggests that Ryan's focus on finding Mr. Right took a backseat after her split from boyfriend John Mellencamp in 2019. However, the actress is now said to be hopeful about finding "a nice, older guy" to share her life with. The source mentions that Ryan is looking for a "mellow mature man" who can offer praise and tokens of affection.

"She wants a mellow mature man," said a source report. "She's got money too, but the idea of having a guy who will spoil her with praise and tokens of his affection sounds great right now."

After a three-year relationship with Mellencamp, which included a brief engagement, the couple faced challenges related to the long-distance nature of their connection. Despite reconciling after an initial split, Ryan and Mellencamp officially called off their engagement in 2019.

Meg Ryan pushes back against criticism of son Jack Quai against the label of being a "nepo baby." In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, Ryan expressed her frustration with the term, emphasizing that it undermines Jack's talent, work ethic, and sensitivity to the concept of privilege.

In the interview, Ryan praised her son's natural talent, emphasizing that dismissing his achievements as solely a result of nepotism is unfair. She pointed out that the term "nepo baby" oversimplifies Jack's dedication, skills, and awareness of his own privilege.
