On February 3, Green wrote in a now-deleted Instagram Story, "Bro. Just be honest for once in your life. Stop caring so much about how you’re perceived that you will try and drag other people."

Green later told People that he had not received a response from Kelly and did not expect one.

"That's not something that I normally do, but it just really at the time, really got under my skin to read about his sort of take on it," he said.

Following Megan Fox and Kelly’s split in December, Green was asked about the breakup.

Burgess also spoke about the role of a stepparent, stating that it requires "selflessness, empathy, loyalty, honesty, an open heart, and patience."

She added, "If these are not qualities you consider yourself to have or be able to develop, then you should ask yourself if you deserve to be in their lives. Because they deserve the absolute best."

Fox shares three sons, Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex-husband, Green.
