Meghan Markle breaks down in tears, takes subtle dig at royal family in her first-ever podcast interview

MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle was all teary-eyed as she read a letter addressed to her from her two young children — Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3 — during her first-ever podcast interview.
The Duchess of Sussex appeared on ‘The Jamie Kern Lima Show’ where she received a special letter from the host, as per Harper's Bazaar.
Meghan Markle’s children call her ‘best mummy’ in sweet letter
“No one’s ever seen this before. I would love to share it with you, and if you feel comfortable this morning, you can share it with all of us,” Jamie Kern Lima told Meghan Markle on the April 28 episode.
“We love your cooking, we love your pancakes, and we love, love, love your hugs. You’re the best mummy and we love you,” the letter said.

Meghan described it as “so sweet,” before adding, “I also love that it’s ‘mummy,’ which is very British, instead of ‘mommy’. Oh, yeah, they’re the greatest.”
Meghan Markle claims to have ‘breathing space’ away from Britain
During the podcast, the 43-year-old also talked about her relationship with Prince Harry, and even appeared to take a subtle dig at the royal family.
She shared, “You have to imagine, at the beginning it's all butterflies — but then we immediately went into the trenches together,” as reported by the Daily Mail.

“Right out of the gate, like six months into dating. So now seven years later, when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way. And that's why I feel like it's more of a honeymoon period for us now,” Meghan added.
Meghan Markle writes emails to her children every night
Elsewhere during the sit-down, the former actress revealed her way of connecting with her children, as per E! News.
She shared, “I used to have scrapbooks and photo albums, but we're past that generation now. So, I created for the kids these email addresses that I will give to them at some point in their lives when they're older.”

“But before I go to bed almost every night, I email them, because it doesn't have to be a heavy lift. I email them like, 'Here's your report card from today', or, 'Oh my gosh, you said the funniest thing this morning', or, 'Here's a picture of you two having breakfast', or 'Here's you playing with the dog,’” she added.
The ‘With Love, Meghan’ star also further explained that she’ll hand over the messages to her children when they are in their teens.
“They will end up at one point in their life — maybe when they're 16 or when they're 18 — that I say, 'Here's an email that I've been keeping for you for your whole life. Here's everything, and every moment that I wanted to tell you how much I love you and how proud I am of you,’” Meghan noted.
