Meghan Markle faces new controversy as she’s accused of selling tea at three times its original price

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons.
The Duchess of Sussex has now been accused of selling overpriced herbal tea under her brand, As Ever. RadarOnline reported that the original price of the tea is three times less than what she’s offering.

Meghan Markle accused of selling cheap tea with a high price tag
The outlet reported that Meghan Markle's selling 12 bags for $12 despite sourcing them from a supplier that sells comparable tea for between $11.50 and $14 for 36 tea bags.

Meghan is reportedly sourcing her ingredients from an Illinois-based firm called The Republic of Tea.
But insiders close to the former actress have defended her, claiming her blend is “different” than the one sold by The Republic of Tea.
Royal expert calls Duchess of Sussex ‘Meghan Mark-up’ over tea fiasco
Royal expert Margaret Holder has, however, said, “Customers are paying a considerable increase for Meghan’s label.”

“She is taking advantage of celebrity branding. But it’s a case of Meghan Mark-up, not Meghan Markle,” she added.
Many social media users have also slammed the mother of two since learning the truth about her As Ever tea offerings.
Internet believes Meghan Markle’s entire business idea is to sell marked-up products

A person remarked, “Even if repackaging ROT as her own is okay, why the heck would you want to pay more for something you can get cheaper elsewhere?”

Former palace spokesman slams Meghan Markle’s wine business
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Meghan Markle is set to launch her first alcoholic beverage. It will go on sale from July 1, which would have been Princess Diana’s 64th birthday.
On her latest venture, former palace spokesman Dickie Arbiter said, “I don’t think we should be surprised that anything she does and as far as bringing out a wine, it’s going to sell for something like £20 or 28 US dollars. It’s a lot of money,” according to The Sun.

He continued, “And if you’re going to go into that sort of business, you’ve got to produce a lot of wine to make money. If her jam is anything to go by, it’s going to be sold out in about ten minutes.”
“How many bottles is she producing? Who’s producing it? She’s not a wine expert. So, you know why go into something that you probably know nothing about?” Arbiter added.
