Meghan Markle faces possible $10M lawsuit over alleged DIY bath salt injury
The recipe, which includes Epsom salt, Himalayan salt, arnica oil, and lavender oil, was shared in a segment where Meghan Markle made a gift for her longtime friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin.
Intended as a feel-good DIY, the tutorial is now at the center of legal and medical scrutiny, with experts cautioning viewers against replicating homemade skincare remedies without proper warnings.

According to Patrick, who disclosed she suffers from diabetes and an autoimmune condition, she followed Meghan’s recipe to the letter. After soaking in the mixture, she said the bath caused severe burning sensations across her lower body, later resulting in open sores and ulcers.
“To date, the burns are still not healed and are quite uncomfortable,” she stated.

“Since the incident, I have endured persistent burning, discomfort, and the emergence of new blister-like sores and ulcers daily,” she said.
Patrick claimed the physical effects have disrupted her life and may require long-term medical care.
In a letter sent to Meghan’s legal team, she accused her of neglecting her “duty of care” by failing to provide health disclaimers for viewers who may have underlying conditions.
Patrick declared, “These damages account for emotional distress, potential post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), loss of confidence in appearance, disfigurement, shortened life expectancy, and long-term medical care for injuries that may worsen over time.”
Meghan Markle’s team denies liability as $10M bath salt lawsuit heats up
Meghan Markle is facing legal threats over her Netflix series 'With Love, Meghan' after a viewer claimed a DIY bath salt recipe caused her “catastrophic burns.”
But the Duchess of Sussex’s lawyer isn’t backing down. Attorney Cameron Stracher responded firmly, stating the woman’s claims have no legal standing.
The attorney explained, “The use of Epsom salts is contraindicated for individuals with diabetes except on the advice of a physician. As your letter recognizes, a duty of care requires a 'foreseeable' injury. It was not foreseeable that you would disregard the instructions on the Epsom salt packaging in attempting to make and use your own bath salts.”
