LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are apparently facing financial challenges in Hollywood, leaving the Duchess of Sussex "hyper-concerned about money," as per a source.

The couple, who moved to Montecito, California, in 2020 after leaving behind their royal life, has faced setbacks, including the loss of Meghan's Spotify deal in 2023 and criticism from a Spotify executive who called them "grifters."

According to a source close to the couple, Meghan is trying to salvage the situation, but their extravagant spending and lower-than-expected earnings have raised concerns about their financial stability.

"Meghan is hyper-concerned about money, rightfully so, given their extravagant spending and lower-than-expected earnings," revealed the insider in an interview, as per OK Magazine

The tipster further said, "The situation is particularly daunting this time, as they have rapidly depleted their funds and are not as financially secure as they once were," adding, "Meghan is taking charge, but it may be too little too late."

The Duchess of Sussex herself disclosed in an interview that the purchase of the $14 million Montecito mansion was rather difficult after leaving the UK.

Moreover, a source previously mentioned that Meghan's anticipated memoir was shelved to avoid more contention with the royal family, and plans for Prince Harry's follow-up to "Spare" have been scrapped.

They noted, "Harry has openly spoken about having enough material to write a follow-up to Spare, but those plans have been scrapped. He's also put an end to Meghan's book."

Having said that, the insider noted that the couple "eventually compromised so that Meghan could work on a book about female empowerment."

Soon after the details of the supposed financial situation of Markle and Prince Harry came to light, netizens couldn't help but comment with their views.

One Facebook user wrote, "It's called karma and she deserves all she gets for what she has done to not only the family, but to sparry. And once it happens, the family needs to be done with them and let them figure out how to get on their feet and not swoop in to the rescue."

Another opined, "You chose what you wanted.... Lol lol lol lol live like us normal people that's what she wanted lol," and a person expressed, "Choices have CONSEQUENCES."
