Meghan Markle slammed as 'narcissist' for saying she envisioned giving speeches with 'baby on her hip'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle has opened up about the unexpected realities of motherhood in the royal family, saying it didn’t unfold the way she had imagined.
The Duchess of Sussex shared her thoughts during an episode of her podcast, 'Confessions of a Female Founder'.
Meghan Markle opens up about reality of early motherhood
In a conversation with Cassandra Thurswell on her podcast, Meghan Markle said her transition into motherhood was far from what she once pictured.
“I will say, for myself – especially when they are baby babies and, yes, the crying, before I was mum, I’ve always wanted to be a mum,” Markle said.
“I was like, oh gosh, I’m going to give a speech with a baby on my hip,” she added.

“I had a whole vision – and then you fast forward… granted I had a lot of external things happening by the time I had both pregnancies and both babies. But it was not the way I envisioned it," she said as per People.
Meghan left her role as a senior working royal when Prince Archie was just 10 months old and has since focused on raising her family in California.
Meghan Markle says it’s vital her children see her working
Meghan Markle, who launched her As Ever brand and a lifestyle Netflix series this year, reflected on her desire to model a strong work ethic for her children. “It’s so important my kids see me as a working mom.”
The closest she came to the image she had in mind was during a 2019 royal tour in South Africa, when she held baby Archie as he met Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

During the 2019 tour of South Africa, the royal schedule was tailored to Archie’s needs. Meghan shared at the time, “We’re doing well. I think the schedule – they have been very kind to me, because everything is based around Archie’s feed times," as Time reported.
"So it’s a full plate, but we’re making it work. It’s worth it," she said.
At the Time100 Summit earlier this year, she added, “A confession I can share with you today is that I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,” Meghan said.
“To have a husband and a partner who is so supportive and kids who are healthy and happy, I never imagined at this point I would feel so happy and grateful, and I really do.”

More criticism followed, with someone writing, “Oh look she's working on tearing them down already. Typical narcissist move. And a terrible mother as well. This is just another version of 'no one has asked me if I'm okay.'”
