Meghan Markle's 'As Ever' sells out within an hour after launch, Internet jokes 'she bought them herself'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, 'As Ever', made a quick impact as its inaugural collection sold out within an hour of its launch.
The brand’s products, which include raspberry spread and flower sprinkles, were reportedly in high demand, with a limited-edition wildflower honey selling out in under five minutes.
Meghan Markle says her 'heart is full' after 'As Ever' sells out in an hour

"Our shelves may be empty, but my heart is full,” she wrote, adding “We sold out in less than one hour and I can’t thank you enough…for celebrating, purchasing, sharing, and believing. It’s just the start @aseverofficial 🎉 Here we go!”
Before the products sold out, Meghan posted, "We’re live! Come shop the As Ever collection I’ve poured so much love into. So excited to share this with you."

She had earlier stated that each seasonal drop would have "limited quantities."
Meghan Markle's staff assisting with her launch were already 'over it'
The Daily Mail had previously reported that Netflix staff assisting with the brand launch were already "over it."
The publication noted that Meghan was relying on her famous friends to promote the brand on social media as part of a "good vibes" campaign before the launch.
An insider told the outlet that the start-up faced logistical issues, especially after a last-minute name change from American Riviera Orchard.

"They have no idea how well her products will sell," the source stated.
Meghan’s 'As Ever' collection features factory-made jam, honey, herbal tea, and a pre-made crepe mix. It officially launched on Wednesday, April 2.
Additionally, the report suggested that some individuals working with the brand have grown frustrated with the "drama" surrounding Meghan and Prince Harry.
The Daily Mail stated that employees were asked to sign NDAs to prevent information leaks about where products, including the "fruit spread," are made.
Netflix, the maker of her series 'With Love, Meghan', is her business partner and will begin selling her lifestyle range inside two of America's mega-malls later this year.

"There is so much drama surrounding them once again that internally the team are over it before it’s even launched", the source has claimed.
"It’s been a logistical nightmare and the buying team are having an issue as they can’t work out what the demand will be, if any," they added.
Internet reacts with mixed responses to Meghan Markle's 'As Ever' launch
The Internet had mixed reactions to the brand’s success. Some praised Meghan Markle for her efforts, while others questioned how the products sold out so quickly.
One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, "She was going to say things sold out, regardless if they did or didn't."
Another person added, "I suspect the shelves were never stocked or she bought them herself. There hasn’t been any chance to buy anything, which is why I think that."

I suspect the shelves were never stocked or she bought them herself. There hasn’t been any chance to buy anything, which is why I think that.

While skepticism was high, some users showed support. "Good for her! She's so impressive - going through hell, then and rising up to succeed. I'm happy for her," one person commented.
However, others questioned the brand’s transparency. "Why wouldn't Meghan release the number sold? Why is it a secret?" asked a user.

Another person suggested a strategy behind the sellout, writing, "That’s a strategy to have a small number of items so they can be sold quickly to your friends. I don’t believe anyone sane would buy expensive jam that is not even organic."
One more wrote, "How many items were on sale? Typical PR move only having a few items to sell.. then Meghan can do what she does best & boost herself & praise herself - & gaslight."
