LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle’s much-hyped Netflix series 'With Love, Meghan' was meant to be a fresh start for her. Instead, it’s been met with scathing reviews, with critics calling it everything from narcissistic to insanely dull.

The eight-part lifestyle show, which features Meghan hosting intimate gatherings and sharing personal anecdotes, has been widely panned, reported by Independent.

A review in The Guardian dismissed it as a “gormless lifestyle filler” suggesting it was “so pointless it might be the Sussexes’ last TV show.” Meanwhile, The Telegraph awarded it two stars, calling it “insane” and an “exercise in narcissism.”

The show is packed with moments that left audiences scratching their heads. In one episode, Meghan watched chef Alice Waters toss lettuce into a bowl and exclaimed, “Has anyone in the world ever been so tickled by the sight of lettuces?” Another scene saw her gazing at a raw turnip, saying, “I feel like you’re watching me falling in love.”

Perhaps the strangest moment was when Meghan tucked a cake into the oven and whispered, “Good night, sweetheart.”

Prince Harry made a brief cameo in the final episode, joining Meghan and her mother, Doria Ragland, for an outdoor brunch. She said, “This feels like a new chapter that I’m so excited that I get to share and I’ve been able to learn from all of you. So I just thank you for all the love and support.”

As Meghan toasted her “creativity” and “new beginning,” she turned to Harry for approval, asking, “It’s good, right?” He reassured her, “Well done. You did a great job. I love it.”

As an executive producer of the series, the duchess narrated in a voiceover about the journey of “reconnecting with myself and just learning, right?” “I’ve always been curious, sharing all those discoveries and everything I love with the people that I love, it just brings me so much joy. Can’t end on a better note than that,” she concluded.

The show offers glimpses into her personal life, she shares how son Archie caught two trout on vacation and how daughter Lilibet helped make strawberry jam. But even those tender moments weren’t enough to win over audiences.

The series was seen as a pivotal moment for the Sussexes, who inked a multimillion-pound deal with Netflix in 2020. Their most notable release so far has been the contentious Harry & Meghan documentary, which included allegations directed at the royal family.

Meghan Markle’s Netflix series disappoints internet as well

Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix project is receiving harsh reviews online, with viewers criticizing everything from its content to its originality.

Some viewers found the series lacking substance. One user wrote, “She is insanely dull and contrived. The show is awful.”

Another added, “It is the worst thing I’ve seen on Netflix probably ever. Think I’ll be canceling my subscription in case you ever give her a platform in the future.”

Several online users also accused Markle’s show of borrowing heavily from Pamela Anderson’s 'Pamela’s Cooking With Love', “We wanted to give Meghan’s cooking show a chance, but all we could see was all the stunning copying of Pamela Anderson’s new cooking show, ‘Pamela’s Cooking With Love.’ Frame by frame, blatant plagiarism of the famous actor’s creative ideas and approach,” one comment read.

Markle’s use of the Sussex title also sparked criticism, “This is worse than one could of imagined it’s the self proclaiming crap that comes out of her mouth is ridiculous and for someone that hates the royal family to say her name is Megan. Sussex is pathetic she’s a narcissistic sociopath,” one person wrote.

"Re-bagging the pretzels, who’d have thought this is elevation! Genius," a user said while another wrote, "The whole fiction section of Netflix is more realistic than this show."
