After Tuesday's House hearing, Megyn Kelly took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "God bless you @RepKeithSelf - we applaud you for standing up for WOMEN and BIOLOGICAL REALITY. We do not need to participate in this man McBride’s delusion."

She also attached a post by Keith Self that read, "It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female."

Moreover, Kelly also took jibes at McBride, who reflected on the privilege of representing Delaware despite "how I’m treated by some colleagues” after the hearing, per the outlet.

McBride wrote on X, "No matter how I'm treated by some colleagues, nothing diminishes my awe and gratitude at getting to represent Delaware in Congress. It is truly the honor and privilege of a lifetime. I simply want to serve and to try to make this world a better place."

Kelly shared her post and wrote, "You haven’t been treated poorly. You’ve been called “Mister,” which is accurate, and told to use the men’s room bc you are a man. We need not participate in your delusion. Standing up for truth is honorable & that’s what your GOP colleagues are doing."

During Tuesday's House hearing, Self said, "I now recognize the representative from Delaware, Mr McBride" as McBride replied, "Thank you, Madam Chair, Ranking Member Keating. Also...."

Meanwhile, Rep Bill Keating took Self to task and said, "Mr Chairman, could you repeat your introduction again, please?" and Self replied, "Yes, it’s a, it’s a, we have set the standard on the floor of the House, and I’m simply..."

Keating interjected and said, "What is that standard, Mr Chairman? Would you repeat what you just said? You introduced a duly elected representative from the United States of America. Please."

Self then again referred to McBride as 'Mr' and Keating said, "Mr Chairman, you are out of order! Mr Chairman, have you no decency? I mean, I’ve come to know you a little bit, but this is not decent."
