Megyn Kelly brushes off CNN health claims, says Trump just 'doesn't sleep much at night'
WASHINGTON, DC: Megyn Kelly, a political commentator who frequently criticizes Trump on several fronts, has come to his defense after CNN’s medical analyst claimed that the president has “severe daytime somnolence,” which causes him to fall asleep “very often.”
Donald Trump has frequently been observed and caught on camera appearing to doze off during official meetings, court proceedings, and public events. However, Kelly has defended this as something occasional.
Kelly doesn’t find Trump’s frequent nodding off alarming, as she acknowledges that he does sleep in public events.
I love how Trump occasionally nodding off has got to be some secret, scary medical issue (obviously they’re raising his fitness for office). Maybe it’s just that he doesn’t sleep much at night and these events are … kinda long/dry/not that scintillating? https://t.co/xuqh4pOcZQ

CNN medical analyst questions Trump's alertness
CNN’s medical analyst Dr Jonathan Reiner delivered a startling health assessment of President Donald Trump ahead of another physical exam for the commander in chief at Walter Reed Medical Center.
“He’s fallen asleep in the Oval Office on multiple occasions with people talking to him in the cabinet room, and there was concern yesterday that he might have fallen asleep at Arlington National Cemetery during Memorial Day observances,” Dr Jonathan Reiner said on Tuesday, May 26.
Megyn Kelly surprises viewers with Trump defense
Kelly’s defense of Donald Trump was somewhat surprising, as she has recently been critical of his handling of the Iran conflict and has repeatedly attacked the administration’s approach to the war.
Megyn Kelly, during an episode of her podcast earlier this month, slammed President Donald Trump’s handling of the Iran war, calling the narrative "propaganda" as she highlighted that gas prices had already gone up another 10 cents.
Kelly argued that the 79-year-old president’s claim that costs would drop after the war was a lie, noting that the national average had already hit a staggering $4.39 per gallon.
“I just want to correct myself. That was yesterday. Today, they’ve already gone off another 10 cents to $4 and almost 40 cents a barrel. It’s $4.39 that the average gallon. So there is President Trump saying that,” she noted.
