NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Conservative podcaster Megyn Kelly has stirred debate with a blunt political statement, saying she would not support Democrats under any circumstances, even as Donald Trump escalates rhetoric around Iran.

Her comments came during a recent podcast episode that premiered on April 6, Monday, where she spoke at length about her views on both parties while reacting to the current geopolitical situation.

Kelly asserts 'will support GOP even if Trump uses nukes'

At the center of the controversy is a single line that has drawn widespread attention.

“I mean, honestly, Trump could drop a nuke, and I’d still vote Republican over those people,” Kelly said.

She framed the remark as part of a broader critique of Democrats, describing a perception of elitism that she says she cannot support.

“All I think about when I think about the Democrats is those very unattractive people in Minneapolis,” she said.

“That’s smug, arrogant, I look down my nose on you, Like, I could never vote for, never.”

Her comments come at a time when Trump has issued a series of strong warnings directed at Iran, raising the stakes around US foreign policy and making her remarks particularly striking.

Kelly's past criticism of Trump

Despite her clear political alignment, Kelly has not avoided criticizing the administration’s approach to Iran.

Hours after this podcast, Megyn Kelly reposted journalist Glenn Greenwald's message slamming the President's latest X post warning of an 'end of civilization'.

In an earlier podcast episode following the US-Israel strikes, she questioned the reasoning behind the military action.

“I don’t allow them to use me like a fool,” she said.

“Does it make any sense that Iran was planning preemptive strikes against us and our civilians, knowing full well of the massive military assets we had moved into the region?”

The comments indicate that while she remains supportive of Trump overall, she has expressed doubts about specific decisions.

Kelly has also singled out Lindsey Graham, accusing him of pushing for aggressive military escalation.

“This guy is a homicidal maniac with a bloodlust that is insatiable,” she said.

“He should be nowhere near President Trump, not within 20 feet of the president’s orbit.”

Her remarks reflect concern about the influence of certain figures within Trump’s circle, even as she continues to defend the president himself.

In her latest podcast, Kelly acknowledged that Trump’s messaging has been inconsistent in recent days, shifting between claims of progress and threats of escalation.

However, she rejected the idea that his comments reflect instability.
