Megyn Kelly slams Meghan McCain over praise for Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance
WASHINGTON, DC: Megyn Kelly has criticized Meghan McCain following McCain’s public praise for Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance.
Kelly argued that the Puerto Rican singer’s Spanish-language set was a political statement rather than a unifying American cultural event.

Megyn Kelly slams Meghan McCain’s support of Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance
The online friction began on Monday, February 9, shortly after Meghan McCain took to X to defend Bad Bunny’s performance.
McCain stated that she "genuinely question your taste level if you didn’t enjoy the Bad Bunny halftime show," adding that "everything in life doesn’t have to be ruined with politics."
Kelly was quick to fire back, suggesting that McCain’s tastes were out of step with "conservative America."
She took to X and stated, “As if we needed further assurance that the “taste levels” of conservative America do not align with Meghan McCain’s.”
The fight started on social media, but it later moved to TV when Kelly went on the show ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’ to explain why she hated the choice of the Puerto Rican singer.

Megyn Kelly insists shows should reflect the 'American apple pie' traditions
On the program ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored,’ Kelly argued that the halftime show should only be in English to keep the country united.
She said, “I’m sorry, Piers, but to get up there and perform the whole show in Spanish is a middle finger to the rest of America. Who gives a damn that we have 40 million Spanish speakers in the United States? We have 310 million who don’t speak a lick of Spanish. This is supposed to be a unifying event for the country, not for the Latinos, not for one small group, but for the country.”
Even though Morgan noted that the US does not have an official language law, Kelly insisted that the show should reflect "American apple pie" traditions.
Megyn Kelly feels Super Bowl shows must stay 'quintessentially American'
Kelly also attacked Bad Bunny for his political views, specifically his past criticism of Donald Trump.
She told Morgan, “It’s about him. It’s about him being chosen as the Super Bowl performer, Somebody who’s been an outspoken critic, of course, of the Trump administration and of America and our anti-immigrant policies."
She claimed that he "doesn’t want illegals deported" and argued that his selection was a mistake.
Kelly also complained about Jay-Z’s role in picking the performers, saying, “He got selected because Jay-Z, for some reason, has got the choice over who performs at our Super Bowl, who's another problem.”
She concluded, “The halftime show and everything around it needs to stay quintessentially American, not Spanish, not Muslim, not anything other than good old-fashioned American apple pie. There should be a meatloaf, maybe some fried chicken, and an English-speaking performer. That’s what the Super Bowl should be.”
