Melania Trump accused of 'smothering' Barron as she may split time between DC, NYC to be 'full-time mom'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Melania Trump plans to split her time between Washinton DC and New York, as she is set to reprise her role as the first lady next year, the Daily Mail reported on Friday, November 15.
Many insiders are claiming that Melania would be taking on her duties at the White House part-time, as she wants to attend to her and President-elect Donald Trump's son Barron, who is enrolled at the Stern School of Business in New York University.
Melania Trump intends to stay away from the spotlight
Melania Trump has been known to prefer staying away from the spotlight, as the 54-year-old rarely made any appearance during the 2024 election campaign of her 78-year-old husband. Insiders have revealed that she will continue to do so as Donald Trump prepares to take office for his second term.
A source reportedly told the New York Post of Melania's intention to split her time between DC and New York, as well as Trump's estate in Florida, during her time as the first lady "so she can be the hands-on mother to Barron that she is."
“Melania will be the first lady, but only on her terms,” shared the source. "She’ll do the big events. But no ladies’ tea and no — or very few — interviews.”
“She views winning as the main show, and the rest she’ll do as she pleases,” the continued. "She’s really in the driver’s seat as to her duties at the White House. Melania will be a part-time first lady — while being a full-time mother and wife.”

"I understand that she wants to be near her son, but it's extremely disappointing that she will not be a true First Lady or fulfill all of the duties of the First Lady. I think she should be at the WH standing beside her husband," stated yet another.
