MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Melania Trump, the former first lady, will mark her 53rd birthday in a subdued manner.

The occasion comes at a time when she continues to mourn the loss of her mother, Amalija Knavs, and navigates through the stress of her husband Donald Trump's ongoing hush money trial.

How Melania Trump is coping with her 'embarrassing days'

Melania is dealing with stressors as Trump continues to face legal issues. On top of that is his ongoing Manhattan criminal hush money trial.

“In these days, which are embarrassing for her, she finds comfort in her small family,” a source further said, adding "She keeps to herself and does what she feels is important," the publication reported.

“She can pretty much deal with anything at this point," the source continued about the former first lady

Melania, like her husband Donald Trump, thinks a lot of the negativity is from his "political haters" but "deep she knows who her husband is."

Donald Trump wishes 'happy birthday' to Melania Trump outside Manhattan courtroom

On Thursday, April 25, former POTUS Donald Trump wished Melania a happy birthday before his criminal hush money trial session started.

“I want to start by wishing my wife Melania a very happy birthday. It would be nice to be with her—but I’m in a courthouse for a rigged trial,” claimed Trump.

The former president is facing 34 felony counts for allegedly falsifying business records to cover up an affair that could’ve hurt him in the 2016 presidential election.

Since the opening statements started on Monday, April 22, a key witness, David Pecker, who is a former tabloid publisher, took the stand and testified against Trump. Later, Trump's defense team quizzed Pecker about alleged deals to cover up negative Trump stories.

“We’re doing very well in this rigged trial, and everybody knows it. Yesterday was a big day—but I do have to start by wishing Melania happy birthday,” Trump added further on Friday.
