BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Michelle Obama is catching serious heat after saying that creating life is “the least” of what a woman’s reproductive system does.

On a new episode of her podcast 'IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson', the former first lady sat down with her brother Craig and OB/GYN Dr. Sharon Malone—who also happens to be married to former attorney general Eric Holder—for a frank conversation about women’s health and reproductive rights, the New York Post reported.

Michelle lamented how the issue of women’s reproductive health “has been reduced to the question of choice.”

She attempted to illustrate a supposed disconnect between women’s lived experiences and the way male lawmakers approach reproductive issues. “I attempted to make the argument on the campaign trail this past election that there’s just so much more at stake because so many men have no idea what women go through," she said.

“We haven’t been researched, we haven’t been considered, and it still affects the way a lot of men lawmakers, a lot of male politicians, a lot of male religious leaders think about the issue of choice, as if it’s just about the fetus, the baby," Michelle continued.

Then came the eyebrow-raising comment. “Women’s reproductive health is about our life. It’s about this whole complicated reproductive system that the least of what it does is produce life," the former first lady added.

Dr Sharon Malone agrees with Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama dug even deeper into the metaphor, comparing the female body to a machine.

“It’s a very important thing that it does,” she insisted, before adding, “But you only produce life if the machine that’s producing it—if you want to whittle us down to a machine—if the machine is functioning in a healthy, streamlined kind of way. But there is no discussion or apparent connection between the two.”

Dr Sharon Malone backed her up, saying that it’s “disturbing” how much the government has inserted itself into personal medical decisions.

“It’s not just about whether someone chooses to have a pregnancy or not,” Malone said. “But this is a situation where a woman should have control over her body—when and if to have a baby, and to decide how that pregnancy should continue.”

Later in the conversation, Malone brought up a supposed link between “older sperm” and “more autism.”

Michelle nodded in agreement and added,  “They’ll never let that secret out. That may be the key behind all the defunding everything. Then old men can keep marrying 20-year-olds. It’s like, ‘I’ll give you the baby you want.’”

The 'Becoming' author slammed male politicians over abortion. She said, “Men who sit on their hands” are essentially choosing to “trade out women’s health for a tax break or whatever it is.”

She also took aim at Republican women, suggesting many cast their votes for Donald Trump under pressure from the men in their lives.

“There are a lot of men who have big chairs at their tables,” she said, before alleging, “There are a lot of women who vote the way their man is going to vote, it happened in this election.”

Michelle Obama trolled over her remarks on female reproductive system

After Michelle Obama said that creating life is the "least" a woman's reproductive system does, the backlash came fast and furious.

"Michelle Obama says the "least" important thing a woman’s reproductive system does is produce life. This is false. Motherhood is the most beautiful and powerful gift God gave women. Creating life isn’t a side effect, it’s a miracle. Don’t let the Left cheapen it," one user posted on X.

"That's the dumbest thing anyone has ever said. To be able to bring life into the world and nurse that life is pretty spectacular... only a woman can do that," another said.

"What does she suppose the most important thing is about a woman’s reproductive system?" someone else wondered.

"Women reproductive system is only about producing life. How dumb do [you] have to be to make this outrageous statement? Wow," read a comment.

"She is ridiculous. The only reason she has a platform is because of her husband. Otherwise, no one would watch this," another offered.
