LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears has paid a subtle tribute to her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, almost two years after accusing him of causing "one of the most agonizing" experiences of her life.

The 'Toxic' singer claimed the 'Friends With Benefits' actor had convinced her to get an abortion when they were in a relationship in her bestselling tell-all memoir 'The Woman in Me'.

Almost two years after surprising her fans by sharing intimate details of her relationship with the 'Better Place' singer, Britney Spears used his 2009 hit ‘Carry Out’ as the background tune for one of her latest videos from her Mexico vacation.

In the Instagram post made on Sunday, April 19, Spears was seen shopping and frolicking with a friend during a vacation in Mexico, and posing on colorful streets, as reported by The Express US.

However, shortly after posting the clip, the Grammy winner removed it from her feed.

In her 2023 memoir, 'The Woman In Me', Spears wrote that Timberlake convinced her to get an abortion when she was 19. "It was one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life," she said.

She continued, "It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young… If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it."

Spears also noted in her book that their breakup devastated her, as she wrote, "For as much as Justin hurt me, there was a huge foundation of love and when he left me, I was devastated."

She added, "When I say devastated, I mean I could barely speak for months. Whenever anyone asked me about him, all I could I do is cry. I don’t know if I was clinically in shock, but it felt that way," as per Harper’s Bazaar
