Miley Cyrus' alleged stalker arrested again for violating restraining order months after prison release
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Miley Cyrus' alleged stalker Alexander Kardalian was detained once again after turning up at the singer's Los Angeles residence with a stuffed animal—despite being subject to a restraining order.
Kardalian, 52, who was detained in January upon entering the 31-year-old's residence, returned to the address on Thursday (June 6) night carrying a teddy bear for Cyrus, reported TMZ.
Miley Cyrus' obsessed fan showed up at her home with a teddy bear
The latest incident marked at least the third occasion that the 52-year-old has turned up at Cyrus' residence since September 2023.
When Kardalian arrived at around 8.30 pm, Cyrus' security recognized him from previous situations and "immediately" arrested him before contacting the police.
Cyrus was not home when Kardalian arrived at the primary residence. Kardalian was arrested by police and taken to prison on a misdemeanor charge of violating a court order.
Kardalian was taken into custody in January after arriving at the singer's Los Angeles residence to deliver a plush animal.
According to law authorities, Kardalian was taken into custody close to her residence following a call placed around 1 am by Cyrus and her group earlier this year.
Suspecting it was someone she had dealt with before, the former Disney Channel actress—who was at home at the time—and her staff called to report a suspicious person.
While the LAPD was called to the scene, the security managed to apprehend Kardalian. He was then taken away by police and was subsequently charged with disobeying a court order, per Daily Mail.
Miley Cyrus was granted temporary restraining order from alleged stalker in 2023
A temporary restraining order was issued against Kardalian in September 2023 for the 31-year-old pop diva after he showed up at her house a few days after being released from jail.
According to TMZ at the time, Cyrus stated in her court file that the 52-year-old had only been out of jail for a few days when he had been to her home.
Cyrus further claimed that Kardalian had been unsolicitedly writing letters in which he described "dangerous fixation and, or obsession" with the singer, which date back to 2018.
Kardalian promised Cyrus in a letter sent from prison that he would return once he was released, just like he had twice that previous year.
Cyrus claimed that after she did not answer his communication effort, the alleged stalker wrote her a letter in which he said he "doesn't give a f*** if he lives."
According to Cyrus, Kardalian—who she alleged has "severe mental health challenges"—began writing her letters in 2018 and claimed to have made sexually suggestive comments about the singer while pleading for money.
The 'Flowers' singer added that after Kardalian allegedly showed up at her Los Angeles home without permission twice in the summer of 2022, her concerns about his "obsessive behavior" intensified.
The musician further stated that Kardalian was detained in December 2022 and held at San Quentin State Prison until his release in August 2023.
Additionally, Cyrus claimed that Kardalian has been using her home address for matters pertaining to health insurance.
The singer further added that she fears for her own safety and the safety of her mother Tish and boyfriend Maxx Morando due to Kardalian's actions.
