Miley Cyrus believes it's a 'matter of loyalty' for godmother Dolly Parton to 'ditch' dad Billy Ray
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Miley Cyrus and her godmother Dolly Parton are closer than ever but the pop queen has made it clear that she disapproves of her relationship with her estranged father, Billy Ray Cyrus, a source revealed to In Touch Weekly.
The 63-year-old was heard calling his ex-wife Firerose, 34, "a selfish f*****g b***h" on a leaked audio clip and using other derogatory terms as he raged at her for allegedly making him late for a last-minute gig.

Billy Ray Cyrus's unsettling recording provided more details about the now-failed marriage, in which both parties blamed one another for the breakdown of the relationship.
Miley was even more upset to hear her father disparage her mother, Tish Cyrus, on the same recording, with whom Billy Ray shares four other children, Brandi, 37, Trace, 35, Braison, 30, and Noah, 24.
Speaking to In Touch, the insider said, "Dolly is not impressed by the way Billy Ray has treated anyone lately, she was appalled by what came out during his divorce with Firerose, and of course, she would never support him hurting Miley."
They added, "But she’s also not the type to just cut people out. She believes in forgiveness, so as upset as she is with Billy Ray, she’s still taking his calls."
Miley and her father have been at odds for years since she initially attempted to dissuade Billy Ray from marrying Firerose.
According to the insider, the incredibly polite '9 to 5' singer has been making a valiant effort to patch things up between the two, but she hasn't been successful thus far.
They dished, "She’s even tried to make peace between him and Miley. Those efforts have failed, but she hasn’t given up, she’s still hoping they can come back together and it’s something she’s always pushing Miley towards when they talk."
"But for Miley, that ship has sailed. She wants nothing to do with her dad and wants Dolly to stop the forgiveness campaign. Not only that, but she’s saying she wants Dolly to ditch Billy Ray too, for her it’s a matter of loyalty," added the tipster.
On the leaked tape, the 'Achy Breaky Heart' singer also said that Brandi and Trace, whom he adopted, are "from a previous marriage."
Then he flipped around and remarked, "No, wait a minute, I said that wrong. Not a previous marriage. The other two children … [Trish] was impregnated by two different men … Everyone knows the devil’s a skank."
He continued disparaging Tish in leaked audio with his manager, claiming, "She is a liar … and a cheat. Complete skank. Scum of the earth. A fraud."
Dolly Parton might sever her relationship with Billy Ray Cyrus if he doesn't seek help
According to earlier reports, Billy Ray Cyrus' loved ones, including Dolly Parton, were urging him to face his issues and seek assistance after the audio recording surfaced.
A different source previously told In Touch Weekly, "It breaks Dolly’s heart to see the Cyrus family so at odds, she loves them all. A lot of people are extremely worried about how toxic this has gotten, especially Dolly, who is Miley’s godmother."
Billy Ray and the 78-year-old country music icon have been friends for decades, but according to the source, she might permanently sever her relationship with him if he receives no help.
"She’s aware of the awful things he’s been caught saying and it’s shocking and apparent to her and everyone else in Billy Ray’s world he needs to take some responsibility and stop lashing out and blaming those around him for his issues," added the source.
They shared, "Anger management seems the first step but not before a groveling apology to those he’s offended. Billy Ray has a lot of work to do if he’s to get any face time with Dolly again soon, if ever."
