Morgan Wallen sports Chiefs jersey with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce at Arrowhead as fans go wild
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for the 2024 game, players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce made it to Arrowhead Stadium for a Morgan Wallen performance ahead of their training camp.
Wallen took to the stage during his Kansas City stadium show on Friday, August 2, donning the jersey number of yet another Chiefs player, who has recently become famous for his controversial commencement speech at Benedictine College.

Morgan Wallen wears Chiefs' Harrison Butker's jersey number
The dynamic duo, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, was by Morgan Wallen's side as he ascended the stage, while the Kansas City audience seemed to enjoy Wallen's No 7 jersey.
The jersey's back bore the name of the country music artist, which appeared to be a nod to Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, per USA Today Sports.
Butker has recently been under fire for his 2024 commencement speech at Benedictine College where he criticized Pride Month, calling it a "deadly sin" and stressed how women should focus on being a "homemaker," among other statements.
Wallen, who is no new to controversy, came under criticism in 2021 after it was discovered that he had used a racial slur on camera. However, another perspective on his performance at Arrowhead indicated that he was not donning a Butker shirt.
It is still unknown why Wallen chose that particular number. The number 7 however, might be a reference to one of his singles, '7 Summers,' from 2020, per Daily Mail.
Since this is coming up in the replies: no, that’s not a Butker jersey. Wallen’s last name is on the back.

Morgan Wallen wearing jersey number 7 draws mixed reactions
Social media users were divided over the country star sporting jersey number 7 during his second-night performance at the Arrowhead Stadium.
One X (formerly Twitter) user stated, "That’s not a Harrison Butker jersey."
A second user added, "Mentioning Butker is gonna get more engagement, instead of doing a little research Jordan knows what he's doing lool."
"I believe I see the name, “Wallen” on the back. Anyway, #15, #87 and #95 are looking great!" another user echoed a similar sentiment.
Another noted, "It’s actually not a butker jersey maybe be accurate. He wears a #7 jersey everywhere with wallen on the back. Nothing to do with HB."

"Love that he's supporting Butker," one user defended, while another remarked, "Bold move there, gotta love it!"
Another chimed in, "He knows what it’s like for people to try and cancel you."
Another exclaimed, "Everything about this is elite. Walking out with the three greatest players in the game and wearing the jersey of the best kicker in the game. Elite!"
