TAMPA, FLORIDA: Drake has stirred up social media chatter by refusing to perform his duet 'Work' with ex Rihanna during a recent concert, sparking backlash from fans. This move prompted a wave of criticism on various social platforms.

In another incident, Drake found himself in a feud with Childish Gambino, who initially revealed that his Grammy-winning track 'This Is America' was intended as a diss against Drake before transforming into a protest anthem. Drake dismissed the song as 'over-rated'.

Adding to the drama, Drake recently also showed support for rapper Young Thug, joining Meek Mill in condemning the judiciary system. This came in response to a leaked video of a phone call between Young Thug, currently in jail, and his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist.

Drake refuses to perform the song 'Work' at his concert

According to a report from Daily Mail, a recent video captured Drake addressing an audience while his 2016 collaboration 'Work' with Rihanna played in the background.

In the footage shared by Pop Crave on X, as the song began playing, Drake grabbed the microphone and told the crowd, "I don't sing this song anymore. You can sing it for me." The rumored feud between Drake and Rihanna is speculated to stem from their on-and-off romance, which lasted for several years before officially ending in 2016, as per Daily Mail.

Drake's recent comment adds to the ongoing tension, following his previous diss toward Rihanna on his October 2023 album 'For The Dogs'.

The concert footage featured Drake, dressed in an all-white outfit, standing inside a white box set on the stage, as per Daily Mail's description.

The history of Drake and Rihanna's relationship has been complex. In a 2010 interview with the New York Times, Drake described his brief encounter with Rihanna, acknowledging that he "was a pawn."

He further stated in that interview, "She was doing exactly what I've done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear." Despite the ups and downs, they collaborated on a song later that year.

The reasons behind their fallout remain undisclosed. In a Vogue interview from May 3, 2018, Rihanna admitted that she and Drake were no longer close, stating, "We don't have a friendship now, but we're not enemies either. It is what it is."

A user wrote, "Rihanna gave him his first top 10s he shouldn’t be acting above her."

Another said, "Can he stop being shady to her??? like move on we don’t care."

A user commented, "Why add it to your set list if you don’t perform it anymore?? 😭"

Someone else claimed, "He wants her acknowledgement so bad."
