LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A music producer is alleging that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and his son Justin Combs have been involved in a shooting at a Los Angeles recording studio in 2022.

The music producer of Diddy’s latest album, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ lawsuit against Diddy comes as an amended version after he previously accused Diddy of harassment.

On February 26, Jones filed a complaint in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York that Combs sexually harassed, drugged, and threatened him during the time he spent with the rapper from September 2022 to November 2023.

Now in the amended lawsuit filed on Monday, March 4, the music producer is alleging Diddy’s involvement in a shooting that took place in November 2022.

In his complaint, Jones described a shooting that took place at a “writers and producers camp” at Chalice Recording Studio in Los Angeles on September 12, 2022, per NBC.

He said that apart from him, Combs’ son Justin and Justin’s friend, identified as “G,” were also present there.

Jones describes the shooting incident in his lawsuit which, notably, differs from the versions of Los Angeles Police Department Combs’ attorney, Shawn Holley.

Jones claimed that when he was inside the building, he heard multiple gunshots after a “heated conversation” in a nearby bathroom.

After the bathroom door opened, he claimed he saw Diddy and his son Justin walk out and G was “lying on the restroom floor in a fetal position, holding his stomach and bleeding out of his leg/hip area.”

The lawsuit claimed that he took the victim outside the studio where he found an ambulance was waiting.

Jones further added that Combs instructed him to tell the police the shooting took place outside the building. However, he has always maintained the incident took place inside the building.

How does Rodney Jones’ claim differ from Sean Combs’ attorney’s claim?

In the filing, Jones has included a message that the Chalice recording studio has purportedly sent to an unnamed person, where they claimed, “The shooting occurred a half a block away from Chalice and it was a result of a robbery. There are police reports corroborating this. Please wait for facts to come out before you start contributing to the defamation of our organization.”

Combs’ lawyer Holley also corroborates the same as on Monday she said, “When LAPD arrived on scene, it was immediately determined (conclusively) that the shooting took place some distance from the studio.”

Jones’s complaint also dismissed another theory that G went inside the building after getting shot.

After the initial lawsuit on February 26, Justin Combs’ representatives denied the other allegations while terming them as “lies” and said there would be “legal consequences for ALL defamatory statements made about the Combs family.”
