NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Musician Bob Bryar, who died at the age of 44, shared a poignant message on social media about late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, who died by suicide in 2017.

The former drummer for My Chemical Romance shared the post just weeks before he was discovered dead in his Tennessee home on Wednesday, November 27.

Bob Bryar calls Emily Armstrong 'perfect choice' for Linkin Park

In a heartfelt post, Bob Bryar praised Emily Armstrong, Linkin Park’s new vocalist, for her resilience and talent, writing on X (formerly Twitter), “Emily Armstrong is destroying, shredding faces, and making Chester proud."

"She was the perfect choice. AND she had to deal with the initial hate. That s**t is hard. Trust me. Word up,” he added.

The drummer, who had been last seen publicly on November 4, fell silent on social media on the day of the US presidential election on November 5 after he shared politically charged comments about the Republican Party, according to OK! Magazine.

His body was discovered days later and authorities reported his body to be “badly decomposed,” suggesting he had been deceased for some time.

TMZ broke the news of his death, revealing that animal control removed two dogs from his property.

Authorities do not suspect foul play, but the cause of death remains undetermined pending further investigation.

Bob Bryar's legacy with My Chemical Romance

Bob Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004, replacing the band’s original drummer, Matt Pelissier.

He became a key figure during the band’s rise to fame, contributing to the success of their second album, 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge'.

The record, featuring hits like 'I’m Not Okay (I Promise)' and 'Thank You for the Venom', took the band into mainstream rock stardom.

During a 2007 tour, Bryar suffered a wrist injury that sidelined his drumming but saw him contribute to the band’s pyrotechnics and special effects.

Despite his dedication to the band, he parted ways with the band in 2010 during the production of their fourth album.

Bob Bryar's life after leaving My Chemical Romance

After leaving My Chemical Romance in 2010, Bob Bryar shifted gears, working in real estate and animal rescue advocacy while remaining involved in the music industry behind the scenes.

He officially retired from music in 2021 but left an indelible mark on the rock community through his talent and contributions.

Tributes continue to pour in, celebrating his legacy and mourning his death.
