LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent interview, Priscilla Presley's son opened up about his battle with fentanyl addiction.

Navarone Garibaldi Garcia spoke with The Sun and disclosed how his famous mother was the one who saved his life.

Navarone Garibaldi calls fentanyl ‘a scary, scary thing’

He told the publication, “I don’t recommend it to anyone because it’s very lethal.”

“If you don’t have any tolerance you die the first time you do it. So it’s a scary, scary thing,” the 34-year-old said.

The lead singer of the band Them Guns then mentioned Priscilla's role in his recovery as he continued, “I went to my mum’s house for about three weeks to a month recovering from my problem. My mum helped me.”

The musician, emphasizing the power of the drug, said, “I was indisposed, I was useless. She helped me do everything.”

Priscilla Presley's son says he 'didn't realize' when he started doing fentanyl

Garibaldi claimed he first had heroin when he was merely a teen, at age 17. However, fentanyl got to him much later, when he was 29.

He stated, “I don’t know how this happened but all the heroin in the United States started to contain fentanyl.”

“So I didn’t even realize I was doing fentanyl. So suddenly I was addicted to fentanyl,” he revealed.

Garibaldi also mentioned, “With heroin, it would last about six to eight hours, but with fentanyl, you have to do it every 45 minutes or else you start to get sick.”

Recalling how much it cost him, he stated, “It got to a point where it was very expensive. I was spending $3,000 a month on fentanyl,” calling the experience “unbearable.”

Navarone Garibaldi misses his late half-sister Lisa Marie Presley

Apart from his addiction issues, Garibaldi spoke about his late half-sister Lisa Marie Presley, who died on January 12, 2023. Notably, she had also been struggling with addiction and had tried rehab five times before she died of a cardiac arrest at 54 years of age.

Garibaldi told The Sun, “I love my sister and there is a big conception that we didn’t get along, we hated each other.”

“I’m actually really hurt because I really did love my sister and I tried many times to have a better relationship with her. But it got to a point that I realized we got on better if we just didn’t see each other,” he noted.

Garibaldi also added, “There was a recent article saying ‘Navarone doesn’t miss his dead sister’ — that was actually really painful because that was the headline.”

“The truth is there are times that I do miss her. More and more than that, I think it’s just strange when I think about her not being here,” he concluded.
