Nancy Guthrie neighbors’ Ring camera captures vehicles on possible abduction route
TUCSON, ARIZONA: New surveillance footage is shedding light on the hours before 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Tucson home. A street-facing Ring camera captured 12 vehicles traveling along a back road in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood between midnight and 6 am on February 1, 2026.
One of the clips, recorded at 2:36 am, came just minutes after Guthrie’s pacemaker last synced with her iPhone at 2:30 am, marking one of the final known timestamps tied to her disappearance. The homeowners who recorded the footage said law enforcement has not followed up.

Ring footage recorded hours before Nancy Guthrie vanished
Elias and Danielle Stratigouleas live about 2.5 miles from Guthrie’s residence. Their back road leads out of Guthrie’s neighborhood without hitting major intersections, and the drive to Guthrie’s home takes roughly seven minutes. Danielle Stratigouleas noted that while the number of cars passing that night was not unusual, it was “odd” that authorities had not canvassed their street in the weeks since Guthrie disappeared.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI have been notified about the footage. Retired NYPD detective Pat Brosnan reviewed the 2:36 am clip, identifying the vehicle as possibly a Kia Soul based on its design, though authorities have not confirmed the identification.
Neighbors report suspicious sightings near Camino Real
Residents in the area reported other unusual activity leading up to Guthrie’s disappearance. One woman saw a man near an abandoned dark red SUV on February 2, describing him as around 5’9”, Hispanic, with a trimmed beard and a silver bracelet. Another neighbor, Aldine Meister, noticed a man walking in mid-January who seemed out of place, wearing a hat pulled low over his eyes.
Search efforts and unanswered questions remain
Deputies were seen searching a wash near Skyline Drive, which borders Guthrie’s development, though much of the area connecting to major roads remains quiet. Camino Real and nearby back roads are less trafficked, raising questions about potential escape routes.
Authorities have detained and released several individuals and towed multiple vehicles, but no charges have been filed. Investigators have yet to identify suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles conclusively linked to the case, leaving neighbors and the community searching for answers.
