CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Nancy Pelosi found herself in the spotlight after a seemingly notable display of support for President Joe Biden during his speech at the Democratic National Convention.

As the former House speaker chanted "We love Joe" alongside fellow Democrats, netizens questioned her true sentiments, with many saying that she lacked genuine enthusiasm, as she is said to have had a significant role in the POTUS ending his 2024 race, according to Daily Mail.

Nancy Pelosi's discord with Joe Biden over his exit from the 2024 race

Lately, Nancy Pelosi has faced scrutiny over her role in encouraging Joe Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race, a move that had already stirred controversy within the party.

The California Rep's relationship with the Biden administration and the president has been under the microscope, especially after reports surfaced of her behind-the-scenes influence in his decision to step down.

Her interactions with Anita Dunn, a former top Biden advisor who is now working for a pro-Kamala Harris super PAC, have been particularly contentious.

Dunn, when asked about Pelosi's influence, remarked on CNN, "Nobody wants to have a fight with Nancy Pelosi at this time because we're a united party."

In response, Pelosi downplayed any notion of discord, stating at the convention, "I have my relationship with the president, and I just wanted to win this election. So if they're upset, I'm sorry for them, but the country is very happy."

She dismissed concerns about her influence on Biden's decision, emphasizing that her focus was on the greater good of the country, not on internal party disputes.

In a recent interview, Biden admitted that concerns from Democratic colleagues about his impact on other races played a significant role in his choice to end the 2024 campaign.

"A number of my Democratic colleagues in the House and Senate thought that I was going to hurt them in the races," revealed the POTUS in an interview with CBS News Sunday Morning host Robert Costa.

He added, "And I was concerned if I stayed in the race, that would be the topic — you'd be interviewing me about why did Nancy Pelosi say [something] … and I thought it'd be a real distraction."
