NBC edits Nick Bosa in MAGA hat out of interview, forced to share full clip after massive backlash
SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA: San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa crashed his teammate Brock Purdy’s postgame interview on 'Sunday Night Football' with NBC correspondent Melissa Stark to show off his Make America Great Again hat on October 27, reported Fox News.
Bosa popped up behind Purdy, George Kittle, and Isaac Guerendo and wordlessly pointed at his hat for a couple of seconds. His appearance was acknowledged by Stark, who then went back to her interview.

NBC's move to edit out Bosa's MAGA promotion
The promotion of GOP nominee Donald Trump was not well accepted by NBC, and they decided to edit Bosa out of the interview clip posted on their X feed late Sunday night. By Monday morning, the post had been deleted.
However, conservative fans took notice and called out the network on the social media platform, following which the 'Sunday Night Football' account re-posted the full clip. This time around, Bosa and his cap were left in the edit.
The incident was a rare instance of an active NFL player demonstrating their support for a presidential nominee. Earlier this year, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker also backed Trump, while Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Thomas Booker IV endorsed Kamala Harris.
Bosa has reportedly been a long-time supporter of the GOP nominee. When asked in the post-game news conference about his decision to wear the MAGA hat, he replied while wearing a separate cap, "I'm not gonna talk too much about it, but I think it's an important time."

"It's definitely a little easier nowadays, but no, I don't feel too inclined to do that. It's just a different climate," Bosa said in response to whether he wanted to open up more about his political beliefs.
