MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Netflix dropped Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's 'Polo' trailer on Thursday, November 21, and it did not get the response from the fans that they were hoping for.

The Netflix documentary, executive produced by Harry and Meghan, focuses on the fast-paced and glamorous world of the sport and the life of elite global players, according to OK! Magazine.

Netflix shared the trailer on X and wrote, "Polo, a behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced and glamorous world of the sport, is coming to Netflix on December 10."

It added, "Follow elite global players on and off the field as they compete in the high-stakes US Open Polo Championship. From executive producers Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex."

Prince Harry's longtime friend Nacho Figueras, who is featured in the documentary, discussed the project in an interview.

Figueras said, "We've been working on this for a long time. It was always Harry's dream and passion to share with the world, what it takes to be a really competitive polo player and show polo at the highest level."

He added, "I cannot think of many people that can be better than him to be the kickoff of this storytelling."

The outlet had earlier mentioned that the Duke of Sussex wouldn't be highlighted in the series. A source said, "Any reasonable person tuning into a show about polo made by Prince Harry would expect Harry to take a starring role. That he’s not is hugely disappointing for Netflix."

The insider added, "Let's face it, polo isn't exactly a mainstream sport so the attraction would have been watching Harry."

The source further said, "Without him, it's marginal at best. The Netflix deal expires next year, so the Sussexes need a big hit. This sounds like a big nothing burger."

Prince Harry set to host solo Christmas party

Prince Harry has sent out invitations for a special Christmas event on December 10 and will be attending the gathering solo, with his wife Meghan Markle not expected to participate.

As per an email from Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity that supports bereaved children of military personnel, Harry will be hosting a virtual event to connect with members and spread holiday cheer, according to Marie Claire.

The message explained that Prince Harry is keen to reach out personally, saying, "Prince Harry would like to jump on a call with as many of our members as possible to wish them all a Merry Christmas."

Notably, five lucky participants will get the chance to speak directly with the Duke, asking pre-vetted questions and gaining insight into his holiday traditions, as part of the festivities.
