Victoria Beckham ‘too busy’ to reconcile with Meghan Markle as Beckhams distance themselves from Sussexes
LONDON, UK: The possibility of reconciliation between the Sussexes and the Beckhams seems very slim as the latter has been “distancing themselves” from the former senior royals.
Royal expert Ingrid Seward also revealed that Victoria is “too busy” to focus on fixing the strained relationship with Meghan Markle, as reported by The Sun.
The expert shared, “I only think they would reconcile if they come across each other, and I'm not sure that they really do. I can't think that their paths would particularly cross again.”
Beckhams believe Sussexes ‘are in the descendant’
Ingrid Seward also explained the reason for the rift between the former pals. She said, “I think the Beckhams have distanced themselves from Meghan and Harry, but for the obvious reasons that we all know, you know Meghan and Harry are in the descendant, not the ascendant.”
Referring to the English fashion designer, the royal author noted, “[Posh] is actually too busy. She's got a business. She's got a very successful husband. She's got houses all over the place. She's got children.”
“I don't think she probably has any time to think about it really,” she added.
Victoria Beckham and Meghan Markle coming up with their own Netflix shows
Both Victoria Beckham and Meghan Markle are set to star in their own shows on Netflix.
While the release date of the Duchess of Sussex’s cooking show has not been revealed yet, the 50-year-old TV personality’s ‘The House of VB’ is reportedly confirmed to be out in 2025.
Seward explained, “If Victoria Beckham's is a success, which I'm sure it will be, I think it's got more chances of boosting Meghan's. The Beckhams are so popular and they haven't really upset anyone in the way that Meghan has, so they're starting with a clean slate.”
“They are so incredibly successful, and it's all through their own hard work. And people love that it's a rags to riches story, whereas Meghan's is a riches to rags story,” she asserted.
Beckhams are ‘attached’ to Prince William and Kate Middleton
The Sussexes and the Beckhams once shared a very close friendship. Victoria and David Beckham were even invited to the 2018 royal wedding.
But things began to change when Prince Harry accused the former footballer and his wife of leaking stories about them.
The Beckhams then did not invite Meghan and Harry for the 2022 wedding of their son Brooklyn. But they did invite Prince William and Kate Middleton.
A source had claimed at the time, “David’s attachment and history go back with William and Kate and they have a very strong relationship and they were their choice of wedding guests. It was always about them, it was never about Meghan and Harry.”
They added, “They are the people David and Victoria are attached to and it’s always been about them because they’ve had a long history together.”
